OH MY GODDDDDD NEW KOSMIC UPLOAD BEST BIRTHDAY EVER THANK YOUUUUU
Pro tip: Just dont take the left warp pipe okay?
Ok, i haven't watched yet, but I'm gonna throw my guess into the ring and say it's done using ACE
18:08 Have you ever tried to die because you’re running out of time?
21:31 "I like that jump!"
I didn’t realize that this was uploaded 9 hours ago.
35:43 Oh! G815 enjoyer there! 😀
Forgive me if this is a dumb question… Have you isolated the areas of memory that are different per machine? If so could you use an emulator to just type garbage into those values and explore basically infinite possibilities? I know some cause crashes but some might not… Especially given you found one architecture that holds up. Again, sorry if this is a silly question.
Aren't there a way to change the values on the loading screen on the emulator?
searching for a level that doesn't exist
All of FD ones would probably work fine on arcade, because if large chunks of memory are random, you'll almost certainly get FD somewhere in memory.
I wonder if it's possible to determine what patterns the garbage in ram likes to do, recreate it, and incorporate it into an emulator?
Can you do any of these glitches in normal super mario bros on an NES?
“Searching for a MARIO LEVEL that doesn’t exist”
Searching for a level that doesn't exist…
Proof Kosmic is Wifies in disguise
23:05 when Kosmic says something like "woah! it crashed!" it reminds me of a Nintendo Direct
That randomness between emulators would be the point where i would throw Accuracy Coin at them and check who is the most blue to see which one is the most canonical one.
One day somebody is going to go too deep and find old man consequences
wait, how would it be impossible to get anything without hacks or cheats? aren't there straight-up ACE setups in the game?
This is like the Metroid of Super Mario… Anyone else feels sad when the video ends? I want more 😀
the wonders of analogic memory states. amazing stuff
So we got 2 new recognizable levels
Wally, and Nimbus Land
I will try to find more levels on an emulator (which is very unlikely to find anything) and I might get a machine to play this on and stuff and maybe I can find something awesome
I'm so excited for part 2
31:12 did bro just use ai 😭
Thank you for sharing your thesis, Dr Kosmic, PhD in Mariology o7
Enemy and NPC AI (the kind that has existed for decades) is perfectly fine. As long as it isn't Gen AI or vibe coded
Next next video: I speedran Mario levels that DON'T EXIST
How many glitches are in this game!?
This is amazing! I love the community input part, having them do the glitch themselves for research
Wouldn't you technically be able to change the emulator to overwrite the unused memory with random or user defined values to make infinite or custom levels?
this is legit the coolest glitch in smb history, wow
it's bringing me back to early romhacking days
I think its cool that you've found something so much you still explore it and find new stuff to keep you entertained so many decades later
34:26 shifting fawns land
20:10 LOOK THERE I AM!
A historical masterpiece and I saw it 8h after release? N🧊
