Clue But Pokemon

I made a new and improved(?) version of the classic detective game #clue and invited 4 of my friends to explore a haunted mansion and try to solve a murder!
In this version of Clue, you have to search for your suspects, Rotom! But beware, Rotom aren’t the only ghosts that lurk the halls of the Old Chateau.

  1. i shit you not. i had to go back at the start of the video too understand how the hell did peter know exactly the secret key and the kitchen… i missed the part where it said "all leftover cards are distributed as evenly as possible" (never played clue sorry)

  2. Absolutely dying over Peebr having to explain the rules 500 times!!!! Honestly I would’ve done the same thing lol, of course I know how to play clue but also it’s been multiple years since I’ve played so like do I actually remember lmao. This version looks so cool though! I love the idea of actually hiding clues around the house and having power ups/whatever the opposite of a power up is hidden in there as well. Super cool!

  3. To be honest its a nice twist and seems very cool, but I see the downside that this game that might be quite long in its own can be even longer now (searching for rotoms in the rooms and the player's hands)

  4. gonna be honest; it's 4:30am, I'm gonna binge some games before I go to bed, and I don't always love these videos, but I do love seeing your passionate designs. That said, I clicked to watch this video because the sound of your voice is really quite dulcet and soothing and it's a good vibe for me monkey brain right now

  5. I was always confused why you play as the murder suspects, the first and only time i played clue I was colonel mustard. Colonel mustard was the killer, it made me confused why I was trying to solve the murder when i was the killer.

  6. Here in the UK, in Cluedo we (or at least the version I have) in the rules says no matter what you have to show a card to the person making a guess even if it’s not something they asked for. This stops people gaining a lotttt of information very quickly but still allows everyone to cross something off. I always show someone the same cards they’ve already seen if I can to keep as much information to myself as possible.

  7. Clue(do since I'm from France and that was the name) has always been one of my favorite game, and as I love ghost types a lot too this is just absolute perfection
We had a house rule tho where we would ask a single specific person if they could proove the suggestion wrong, instead of taking turns around the table, that way you had to pay very close attention to who asked what and to whom, it made the game so much more interesting imo
I think we made it so that we weren't allowed to ask for cards we had tho, can't remember if I'm right or not

  8. This looks awesome; I'm definitely playing this with my friends later.

Side note: I really appreciate all the board games you've made for Tabletop Simulator; they have been a blast to play with my friends, and we can tell how much care you've put into them. I can't wait to see what you tackle next.

  9. This was really good! I wish there was sooome way to buffer the ghosts, so that one-sided advantage isn't as hefty? But like! I'm no archetect, this was great, well done!!!!

  10. I also think it's very important to go over the rules of classic board games because everyone grew up with different house rules and interpretations that they're going to think are universal, and you've gotta hammer those out.

  11. The art was beautiful as always. I love the idea of having the rotom information being delayed. It makes some information more valuable and ads a bit more strategy to the game, though on the flip side it does make it longer which can be a good or a bad thing depending on the people you are playing with and their attention spans.

  12. Bailey's steam pic is amazing.

Also, I would say the ghost card effects resolve in the clockwise order (Bailey then Zane in the case of the spiritombs).

  13. Peter.

Peter, sir. I would say "my friend" but that's parasocial. Peter, the man I subscribe to and enjoy watching.

Did you purposefully design the ghost cards so that if you had both 6 and 7 they cancel out into nothing.

    Be. Honest.

  14. I would find it fun if the player who killed someone knows it allready and just goes through the motions and the rest of the players need to prove its him(they dont know) also i played minecraft clue and that was amazing, i think ASFJerome or Bajan Canadian has a video on it.

  15. Okay so the question is not "have you played [board game] before", the question is "do you know the rules of [board game]", because a lot of people have played these classic board games when they were like 10 and the finer details of the rules has left them, especially when half of the time they were making up rules back then anyway. I think if you ask them "do you know the rules" you will get a more confident "no" than if you ask "have you played" which gets you a hesitant yes (which is actually a no).

  16. I honestly don't know how you guys come up with these games. The creativity is off the charts. Thank you to each and everyone of you for taking the time to do this and entertain us all.
