  1. I've specifically gone out of my way to avoid naming the specific employee that was seemingly behind this decision and I urge everyone to avoid mentioning their name regardless of how you feel about the magnitude of this controversy. I think it's everyone's responsibility to avoid witch-hunts that will do NOTHING to help the situation. As stated multiple times in the video; please don't contribute to the harassment of any individuals and direct your feedback and criticism towards the company responsible. Thank you.

I also addressed a few other things in more detail in the full livestream. Here's a link to it with timestamps in the pinned comment if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/live/rqtceyjqjmI?si=Am6rGXLLa4fbMtM_&t=2374

  2. Singling out an employee is unacceptable. BHVR did this, but so did another who left the post. It's also telling how much pitchforking is happening to a person for BHVR. Sounds like tunneling.

  3. Worst community ever supposed to welcome new people and look what happens. He is literally bigger than anyone who has ever streamed dbd and could have helped make a less toxic community. Good job everyone for making this game clearly not for eveyone but only for those who share your opinions.

  4. This is one of the most ridiculous controversies I've seen in a while.

A popular streamer attracts attention, and naturally, the company wants to stay on good terms with them. That's all there is to it. Behaviour isn't your friend or your enemy. It's a company that developed a game and wants to sell as many copies as possible, just like any other business.

And the expression "take the heat" clearly refers to dealing with backlash over perceived preferential treatment, not to some broader social or identity-related controversy. Stop looking for sinister implications where there are none.

  5. I said before, but I really appreciate you using your platform to speak up against stuff like this. I love how often you bring up LGBT people in the conversation, whether it's this controversy or some random in your chat being icky. You're an amazing creator, Otz, and I really appreciate the safe space you've created.

  6. For these communities being "inclusive" and "accepting" of people and creating "safe" spaces. Feels the opposite, especially from the communities that supposedly represent these values. 90% of the toxicity I see in this game comes from the LGBTQ community, and if you dont agree with how they are acting you are racist/fascist/homophobic. Who cares. Its a video game. Cry about it.

  7. I didnt even comment on it on my twitter bc everyone was making this to be a huge fuss about it

I just looked at it and said "that's it?"

Some people really don't have anything else better to do with their day.

  8. this is problems for pussies, getting sad and uninstalling over a something a person did for someone who's anti LGBTQ and crying about it is pathetic, the whole "community" is so soft, get a grip holy

  9. I am a developer (not at Behaviour) and I treat every action I, every media, every collab, every contest, etc. very seriously. If anything there, regardless if it was or wasn't made by me, is affiliated with me, I always take full responsibility. I always apologise, actually using that word, and I offer people refunds over the most minor concern that was a fault of mine or of other entities I affiliated myself with. You of course can't control the playerbase, but as a company, you can, and should always make a statement taking the blame and making up for it. It really doesn't harm the public image. Everyone makes mistakes, but being able to take responsibility for them and be better is what people value. I can't overstate how 100% of my PR has been just doing the opposite of what companies do and everyone unambiguously values that in my projects. Replying fast is also crucial and corporations ignore this in favor of making more bad PR. One more thing corporations ignore is being concise, cause if your apology isn't concise, it just means you are trying to wiggle out of responsibility. Sure some clarification may requires essays, but corpospeak isn't needed. Still, we should hold corporations accountable at all times and not let things go, as long as we stay polite in replies.

  10. im not unemployed enough to know most of the stuff but one thing is for sure, the DBD community is really dog poo. cant imagine an random streamer and his watcher are so much worse.

  11. Peanut did the game a favor, not being rude but those types of people are extremely rude and disrespectful. We don’t need these types of players in the game. -5 gen loop god

  12. it is not that hard to understand, the company is only there for money, they can give 2 shits about lgbt or whatever, there trick is they want people to think they do, but at the end of the day yall just so easy to trick

  13. "From my limited research" ~Otz.

AAAAND that's where I stopped watching about 5 minutes in. I'm sure the next 25 minutes you told people that their reactions to new comers that can bring new life into this game shouldn't be vitriolic and they should be welcoming and excited. I'm sure then the DBD community realized that they were being real judgmental of this one individual, came together and decided that they would welcome him with open arms. I mean, how dumb would it be to make your community look like a bunch of snappy bigots that also do not support the growth of the game they support? Wow I'm glad you cleared this whole thing up. I'm thinking about giving Fortnite a try and getting that cool looking peanut backpack!

  14. The problem is that regardless of what Peanut himself is, his fanbase is beyond toxicity and bigotry.
They are the worst kind of bigoted scum possibly imaginable and he does absolutlely NOTHING to address it.

If he had any spine, or sense of morality, he would call out his fanbase for their horseshit.
And instead, Behaviors bullshit has his little cretin fans sending death threats to the very strong queer community that makes up the core of DBD.

This decision was stupid and shouldn't have happened.

  15. Some people in the comments were being incredibly gross. Saw a comment that said "You shouldn't have to be lgbtq to enjoy dbd, as an lgbtq person myself" the problem was that you can't stand on a value of personnor company if you appoint people who don't agree with you as a defacto figure head.

  16. Glad i left this game at my 5k hours. Ever since this "inclusive" bs was introduced it went down the drain. Not even mad at their preference but all the rules and power this gathered, making the devs bend the knee to this individuals and how this affected you as a creator. Use to watchh you since back in the pubg videos and soul. Sad to see

  17. I'm sorry Otz but it's kinda bullcrap.
You make it sound like the DbD is only for LGBT community and 'allies'.

    The outrage is over nothing.
Dude played a game -> devs saw an opportunity which could fade away rapidly -> so they had to act fast.

This inclusive community seems to be taking this game hostage.
Not only the game but devs as well.
Or they dont have a spine, because they folded in record time.

  18. I was sad to hear the postscript about the creator program member’s comments actually being nasty. I hadn’t heard what the comments were, but I was hoping it would turn out to be a nothing burger

  19. The DBD community is an absolutely horrible, abhorrent conglomeration of freaks and retards. They constantly bitch about queue times for matches and the minute the DBD devs have the opportunity to increase its player base by the thousands they shit on it.

The fallout from this is already massive and people are going to permanently leave the game from both sides of the argument.

I am so glad I walked away from this fucking game. BHVR deserves to die as a studio

  20. Oh wow, so this is all literally just a massive overreaction from the liberal, cancel culture- esque DBD community. Just a big fat nothing burger. The only problem I see here is that the DBD community harassed and threatened DBD staff. Btw, this is coming from someone who can’t stand the burnt peanut lmao

  21. What I don't respect is the mods banning anyone saying "I like this content creator" even if they're controversial. That's called exclusion. And creating such an echo chamber will only fester more toxicity in the community.
