I'm actually glad this happened in China. The AI craze some of the Asian uncles have is crazy. So so glad it flopped so now they know what's up. It's the people who don't understand art and only see it as something to consume.

The whole "it will get better" argument that AI defenders use is flawed, because let's say everyone finally embraces AI, what will the AI take reference from? Eventually, no more real original movies will be made since everything will be AI-generated, so the only thing AI can steal from is other AI-generated slop. So the slop will start stealing other slop and get worse and worse. This is exactly why gen-AI slop is fundamentally flawed.
Any movie that actually comes out as ai people should just stay away from. It is genuinely depressing but I know some people will intentionally hate watch. Don’t give them a single penny

I would've understood using Generative AI for low level researching or prototyping, but it should have never been advertised as being able to make high level claims/ideas. Anything that requires the AI to come up with their own reasoning to justify, or context to constrain, is always going to fail with our current understanding of making Gen AI.
Our current Gen AI systems can help analyse the human genome, or solve various complex maths problems. However, the current systems will never understand why some people like the colour orange over blue.
