  1. I will never get over that you let someone "buy" you by putting you in massive dept. And the Saudi can easily afford the full price. But a member of Trumps extended family is involved so it's probably a scam anyway.

  2. The question I have is – Madden as a product is getting worse and worse and it's playerbase has noticed. What future do you think Madden players can expect? Will there be any kind of investment in the product to improve sales, or will they axe it like they did Bioware?

  3. lol EA be so glad when that company is gone, it started out as a great driver in the industry it was all about the art of games.

But that was many decades ago they have been a vial disgusting pile of shit of a company for ever since they shifted to "EA Sports" they became nothing but a casino.

Hopefully when EA dies the vultures that rip apart its corpse will sale off some of that glorious IP because they own some truly legendary IP its a shame its trapped in that pile of corpses.

You should do a deep dive on the birth, perversion, rot, and death of EA it is actually an amazing cautionary tell on NEVER taking your company public … EVER.

  4. Bloomberg reporting that Veilguard failed because of the 10 year gap and marketing and not the game being genuinely fucking horrifically bad is insane. How tf is bloomberg a credible source?

  5. it's funny Dennis Branval the Community manager and dev at Dice for the SWBF team at EA LEFT after he was denied a SWBF3 from the likes of Disney and EA, and only now that when things are desperate for EA, they want it, and I don't think it will be the same or better than the previous game after they took time to make it really good, EA had their chance to give full creative control and not launch a Casino SW shooter this time and they Floundered it bc they and disney were too scared.

I will be surprised if SWBF3 from EA is good, especially if ppl of the likes of the Modern Bungie can salvage that current opportunity into it being something great to play. That original battlefront team just wont be the same. I hope my fears wont be realized and I will be wrong and it will actually be good.

  6. The bones of mass effect and dragon age are still good.

If EA contracts out the ip to
Smaller studios with lower budgets and lower headcount’s.
    + lots more creative freedom.

It’s entirely possible to see more games in the genre.

I think this is an especially important push as the company wants cash and if they instead acts as a publisher they get the cash flow but loose a lot of the risk.

The main ea studios can work on the sports and live service cash cows.

While farming out the higher risk projects.

Allowing other game studios to develop and not take on nearly as much risk in the ask.

Possibly buying studios out that succeed but also keeping the financial risk down on questionable ventures.

  7. 2 years later
    Larian Studio email junk folder
EA publishing representative: "Heyyy Larian Studios how would you like to work on Mass Effect and Dragon Age in a 10 year contract?…"
    2 days later
    EA: "you there?"
    8 hours later
    EA: "hello?"
    4 days later
EA: "Your so mean, ghosting us what the hell?!"
    *10 days later *
EA: "Im sorry for crashing out. I just want to know what you think."
    1 day later
    EA: "sorry.."
    A month later
    EA: "fuck you"

  8. What is this market EA wants to expand into? Who has been sitting around wishing to play a sports game and hasnt heard of these decades old franchises?

  9. Bioware hasn't done anything profitable or positive for the industry in more than a decade. It was high time to put it out of its misery. Bioware of old that should be remembered was long gone.

  10. EA paid all these lazy incompetent devs for a decade, without an ounce of results from them.
Then after burning through hundreds of millions finally decided to stop
EA is not the bad guy of this story

  11. EA screwed over Bioware, and now that they're closed, the screw up is hitting them. Good.

I hope the Mass Effect IP finds a good home.
