It's not a explanation of why he comes back just a retelling of their version of the story, so this show isn't canon with series of movies because continuity is huge part of our beloved Friday films.
It's a great addition to the franchise. The series is not very strict with timelines and canon. After all it's just a fun slasher series. And I think Crystal Lake does a good job at giving us a tv show about Pamela.
The crazy part is new line cinema had the rights to jason after part 8 so they started taking libertys with him that was stretch and just for just fun
This show's good! It's the first one, in a bit, that I fully enjoyed. I think a second season's coming, so your questions will be answered.
Im on episode 4 and im loving it
this is its own thing and changes the lore so it really negates the the first movie though it does have some homages to it. By the end Mrs. Voorhees knows jason is alive and shouldn't have motivation to kill more camp goers. There was a shot in one of the trailers showing Linda Cardellini with short blonde wig with that famous blue sweater and that moment does even happen. So what is Jason's motive to kill at the end of this? Jason in part 2 did see his mother die and built shrine to her and kills to avenge her.
I like that it’s more grounded.. it wasn’t perfect but it’s a good start
Marco always looks to me as if Corey Feldman had aged gracefully.
They got Jason looking like the Toxic Avenger with that forehead!
The testing on Jason leads to possibly testing was done on the telekinesis girl which could explain her creepy therapist being so involved. Maybe he worked for that company. Regardless as a fan I loved it
The Sheriff and his sister are awesome
Dude went to space with no suit and helmet, how are we supposed to buy into this bs backstory…?
Technically I guess Tommy went to space..
Imagine, an alternate timeline where Jason became Toxic Avenger
I enjoyed it. I was fine never knowing but it was made and its fun. Jason Lives is my favorite next to part 2. Jason was never an evil slasher. Jason is a force like Godzilla it made me see them both as victims
I'm not a fan of the Friday the 13th movies at all, I think that they are all terrible, but I really enjoyed this show. a Solid 8 out of 10 for me.
The TV show was way better than the films, and I grew up in the 80s on the video nasties.
It was a good show and i actually liked this prelude 😅and every time you kill him he comes back stronger
My only thing is he died as a child. Do Zombie-Demons go through puberty and growth spurts?
I like your guys's video
I enjoyed it enough but by no means is this good.
Crazy Ralph was portrayed a lot better in this series .
Honestly you could watch this series in Machete Order, like with Star Wars (4,5,1,2,3,6), by starting at episode 4 and watching up to episode 7, before you go back to the first 3, and then view the finale. It may be a bit disorganized, but it works for this kind of show. Avoiding spoilers, there are certain plot beats that almost hit harder without the initial context leading up to it and other elements that are more impactful with the context of the later episodes.
“Nobody asked for this” this needs to stop being a metric by which we judge new media
Good show.
I opted out show looked wack lol 😂
I did not ask but I'm glad I watched it. I heard they don't have a second season planned
Stick with the original Films and ignore this atrocity
THE CRAZIER SHE GETS THE HOTTER SHE GETS! Says only Corey
Yes this was necessary Cory you big goof ball
Pamela Voorhees liked the chocolate..
The reason why myers wasn’t in 3 cuz they wanted the franchise to be about different horror. But their mistake was having myers in 2 movies before they decided to pull it
im sure they are going to do another movie. Oct 13th 2028 would be the perfect date for it
@doubletoasted The show is amazing, from the score, the acting, to the directing, to the screenplay. I saw Jason Goes to hell in the movie theater when I was a kid. It made me throw up. Literally, I had eaten a blueberry muffin then I saw the only black guy in the movie eat Jason's brains. I hate that movie, and I'm a real horror fan from 1993 up, so yo boy not liking this show compared to the movies is wild. This is peak Jason unless he wanted Jason himself throughout the show; then that can be his only problem. Otherwise, he ain't no Friday the 13th fan. He's a casual watcher, probably started watching after the 90s, so that's kid talk.
If Elias isn’t there I can’t support 😂😂😂😂 I’ve wanted this show for a while great review!!!
Short Answer: HELL NO! This show should’ve just started off with JASON and fast forward through the Pamela BULLSHIT. Plus this show is on Peacock. Which sucks🤦🏾♂️
Korey u resold Grace’s ending . It’s mad important
Yes it was necessary! The movies never gave us a proper backstory on Jason
It's a cheap knock off of the Friday the 13th films not as creepy mysterious scary. It's has more of a net flix tv show vibe. Don't like it. 😒 don't use Friday the 13th great franchise to make another pathetic net flix show.
14:48 When I hear anyone took Jason goes to hell seriously? lost me as w those that take halloween 3 and curse of michael myers o-0
Don’t care if it was necessary or not. I enjoyed it.
Dont forget The show " from" it's literally a horror series small town of white people with a black Sheriff
Surf Dracula? SURF DRACULA!
Lanterns was necessary but this wasn’t ???? I feel like him being primed with Marcos shitty review affected his watch ability. For a franchise with very little storytelling and lore, YES THIS WAS NECESSARY.
Dude reviewing a show he’s only seen 1/4 of, is actually so dumb
Low matinee
Just like clayface im so surprised that its so good & as a fan
I honestly felt they could have done without the "genetic alteration/lab test" thing, but it was a good season. It was a fun ride regardless
A grieving mother's violence has NO limit in shows and movies.
