  1. I once trusted someone so much that I considered them family. I was there for them when they had nothing, listened to their problems late into the night, and defended them even when other people warned me to be careful. I never imagined that the person I trusted with my deepest secrets would one day use those same secrets to embarrass me and turn others against me. The worst part wasn’t just hearing the lies it was watching people I cared about begin to doubt me while I struggled to explain the truth. I spent so many nights replaying every conversation in my head, wondering how someone I had treated with so much kindness could hurt me so deeply. For a while, I blamed myself for being too trusting and became afraid to let anyone get close again. But listening to Kesha’s “Backstabber” reminds me that I don’t have to keep carrying the pain of someone else’s betrayal. I may have lost a friendship I thought would last forever, but I’m slowly learning that protecting my peace is more important than begging someone to recognize my worth. Sometimes, walking away is the hardest thing to do, but it’s also the first step toward healing.

  2. I think it's kinda cool that this song can have two interpretations. 1) she's talking to a toxic ex who she eventually woke up from, and realised they were manipulating her this entire time. 2) she's talking to herself, and she's actually the toxic ex. It took her a while to acknowledge it, but now she's self aware.
