  1. I do not understand why people keep asking about FF Resonance, that game could have been called anything else and I suspect nobody would have paid any attention to it, it feels like the most whatever ass JRPG I've played in years, I played through the demo, didn't think anything of the characters and Narrative, uninstalled it and then saw people talk about it online like it's a GOTY contender.

Sure it would be somebody's cuppa tea, but I do not understand what people are seeing in it that I didn't see.

  2. First off Max loving these blind play throughs, they are the most genuine going on here and would really love to see more. Also I am sure it has been mentioned in the comments but this was still the era of instruction booklets, so running and throwing bombs etc would have been in the instruction booklets where as now it would be told to you in game which I think people forget. Would absolutely love you to play Links awaking as that’s my favourite game of all time.

  3. 6:46:00 Nah, Ocarina of Time is very similar to ALTTP.

ALTTP, LA, OoT, OoS, ALBW are mostly the Zeldas using this formula.

Minish Cap, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and SS are similar but they actually feel a lot more Puzzle oriented, instead of exploration oriented.

Basically Miyamoto Era games are more combat and exploration oriented, Aonuma Era games are Puzzle oriented with almost no secrets to find on the overworlds compared to the Miyamoto ones.

And the Fujibayashi games are more sandbox, Zelda 1 inspired, but with a lot of Skyrim and Minecraft trown in.

  4. 33:30 funny he made a comment about fanboys a few minutes earlier and wants forgiveness for having a hundred systems plugged in, presumably because just because you are a fan. Just use an emulator sir, it's ok if you have the cartridges, cds, no one will flame you for it, no one with a working brain that is.

  5. I just beat the game for the first time as well. 27 deaths. Didnt need a guide, but I feel like a I got super lucky, just stumbled on a shitload of secrets and stuff.

  6. This game has all the elements that make for a truly masterful Zelda experience. Rupees actually fill a function since you need recovery items, optional secret tools offer new gameplay mechanics, bosses are just hard enough, enemies blend perfectly with the environment, dungeons are extremely well designed and still offer variety, the stakes are high throughout and particularly for an early 90's game.

  7. 7:59:49 This reminds me of the one spot in Super Metroid where you transition into Lower Brinstar but you know to bomb walls ro see what weapons open those areas. In that section you need the super missiles. Nintendo gives you juuust enough information to traverse with what you have, but let go of your hand to see if you can figure it out. By this point of the game and your previous knowledge of otheer dungeons, Nintendo encourages you to refer to your map. This also tied some loose ends Zelda 1 had with secret areas. Also GGs loved this playthrough

  8. Have you ever played the gem: "Secret of Mana" on SNES? Best action RPG from Square Enix in my opinion, and almost similiar epic vibe as Zelda ALTP. Would highly recommend it. And dont get fooled. Seiken Densetsu / Secret of Mana 2/3 isnt the best.. Its Secret of Mana.

  9. If I could make a suggestion of next old school game to play I'd say you need to try Yoshi's Island on the SNES. It's technically a sequel to Mario World but my god is the game amazing! Probably my favorite 2d "Mario" game. It's so good that every time a yoshi game is announced I get disappointed cause it doesn't look or play like the original.
