Reminder that there is the Bartering Legacy Talent gives you a discount from ALL vendors up to a 10%. You can save some gold, especially for mounts that cost 1000
Personally, I think Mount Riding should get mount expertise (higher expertise lowers chance to be dismounted). Villages outside major cities should offer a temporary (rent a mount) vendor granting players the ability to rent a temporary one-way mount for 5min (60% movement speed buff) that allows players to gain early mount expertise. Mount will automatically dismount rider after 5min.

Oof, this is gonna go bad very fast, ppl are gonna run the game with bots, and then, sell gold, and ppl are gona have "gold sinks" where they throw their gold at… such as gift of galloping.

I have to say the 15 day movementspeed is sooo intelligent. Instead of just adding more mounts for goldsinks, add something that can be bought over and over again. Cause inflation is always happening unless the playerbase as a whole spends enough in repairs and vendors to reduce the absolute amount of gold ingame.
Opinion: You're not getting a free mount when you buy the collection, you're paying real money for a mount instead of buying with gold.

Paladin/warlock Epic mounts are NOT free. The items you have to get for the quest will generally cost you around 500 gold, depending on the server and market at the time. It's cheaper yes, but it sure as hell isn't free
I think I prefer the non-epic version of the Undead Paladin mount. Unfortunate they don't scale.
Actually for broke locks faction mounts are cheaper.
