  1. Raid-wide buffs are a good thing. Makes raiding a lot more flexible for people to bring their alts where they would otherwise have skipped the raid if they're already BIS'd out on their mains. Also just makes raiding more flexible in general. Let the folks play with their friends. Good change.

  2. Absolute yes to the immersive non combat class flavor abilities mentioned here and beyond.

That is what every single MMORPG needs more of. Just a straight up win.

  3. My main was easy to decide on, but still going back and forth with the proffs I want on it, and trying to convince my partner to play with me so we can duo and have him feed me craft mats.

  4. Raid wide buffs will ruin classes like shaman, it's bad for the game. If casuals have to second guess bringing a second of the class you know its 100% going to be a problem. We're just going back to half the raid stacking warriors.

  5. As a lore ability I'd like to get and would be very cool for my warlock :
The ability to summon other party members to my location, maybe with the help of other players in the party, that would be so cool 😏
    Ho, wait… 🤔

  6. ill be real, I havent been this excited for a game in years, I cant stop consuming content for WoW Forever content from everyone. Its like I am addicted, I want to quit my job just to grind the game lol. Ive only ever played Retail and I honestly barley played the beta but it felt really cool to be able to find random upgrades in a random cave and its nice to know that my journey will probably take me a month at least to get to 60 probably more.

  7. I played WoW back in 2004. I mostly got to play at friend's houses on their characters, a subscription wasn't possible for me then. Eventually I did get an account a friend would let me play on but my computer at home was an iMac with 256MB RAM. I would usually max out at like 20fps and when I'd go to Orgrimmar I would get about 1 frame every 4 seconds lmao. It was a slideshow. Despite the struggles it was all I wanted to play.

When I became older and could get an actual PC to play on, it was post-Cataclysm. I did like the changes, but I didn't have the experience of other players to see the writing on the wall. I fell off without ever really getting to end game, despite enjoying the ease of questing, the magic was kind of lost. Now that I've heard conversations about "friction" in the game I understand how these small things that maybe originally just pissed me off, actually deliver a lot to the total experience.

Even later now, I'm in my mid-30's, and I got one of my younger friends who has close to 0 MMO experience to play the beta with me. It was a slow and painful process getting him through the controls and figuring out a UI layout that works for him (literal hours haha) but damn was it like returning home in the best way possible. We did the trek on foot from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar just being complete idiots, talking about nonsense with the shadow of Mount Hyjal in the distance, and I just couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

I ended up back in contact with a friend I've known since 4th grade and one of the guys we used to play online with in high school and we're planning on making a raid group now. It's like getting the fellowship back together after half a lifetime apart. We'll see how it all goes but I haven't been so excited to play a game in god knows how long. Blizzard really put something in the code back in 2004 and just activated the sleeper agents. The uncs are coming.

  8. i would absolutely love to see a DK in Forever made with gen 2 Dk's design in mind, Shadow/Frost/Necromancy as it's talent tree. If and only if Dk's get Death Grip, then this needs to be a massive long cd like 3-5 min at best, but they could go the mounted combat for Dk's which makes more sense as a option.

  9. 17:08 in Wrath Beta, it was a a quest chain that started at level 58, worth about a third of a level. In it, you fought against the Lich King's invasion force into EPL. It culminated in you "dying." It had a huge warning dialogue. Then you could play a (single) death knight on the same server as the character that died, who was no longer accessible. They were permanently in that black/white ghost view and couldn't be signed into. It could be deleted without removing the server-specific unlock.

Then you created a death knight, which to be fair didn't have to be the same race as the sacrificed character, but narratively it was their specific soul moved into the new body you made. During the DK quest chain, you were sent to execute someone who was the same race as the original sacrificed character, who would "Recognize" you and say your other character's name in the dialogue.

    It was really epic.

Then last minute they dropped that requirement and said you just needed a 58 in general on that server to unlock making a DK.

  10. Having raid wide buffs will make pugs fill faster, the leader can focus less on getting the ideal party set up and focus on getting in people. Also i understand people that feel they wont get a spot because of the spec they play, but you can also make your own pug.

  11. Just a few ideas for potential future content in WoW Forever that could expand the world and build on existing lore:

Imagine Gilneas as a 20 or 40-man raid, similar in scale to Zul'Aman, where you fight the Worgen or those responsible for cursing them.
A 10-man raid in Azshara, potentially continuing the story from Blackfathom Deeps (BFD) and expanding on the Naga threat.
A 10-man raid to reclaim part of Gnomeregan, giving the Gnomes a chance to take back more of their homeland, especially now that they can become Priests and
a 5-man mega-dungeon in Un'Goro Crater, designed as an expedition with Brann Bronzebeard and the Explorer's League.
