Not a word, nor any desire to ask how the GTA on Xbox Series S actually works. Can't I save some money? Why isn't there a trailer captured directly on the XSS? How many mechanics had to be cut so the XSS could deliver good resolution and smooth performance? The XSS has less RAM and a slower SSD.
"Crunch," has got nothing to do with me, the gamer. "Crunch," is just another re-framing term spawned purely to demonize what's really called "hard work." "Crunch," produced the greatest games Rockstar, and other developers, has ever – and will ever make. "Crunch," gave birth to the most legendary moments in gaming. What we have in modern AAA western development is weak, entitled children that signed up for a job they couldn't handle, hence the decline in their lazy, unoptimized politically motivated slopware.
If anything, we need MORE "crunch," than ever before.
Going out to see the real place before you build it is the same habit I have walking a job site before any framing goes up. Curious how much of the Vice City they scouted ended up in the final map?
7:00 you release a trailer to the public when your project is complete, not as a concept. “Oh no the trailer really helps the teams vision.”
okay make a in-house trailer or better yet learn to articulate vocalise & coordinate, I didn’t realise back in 2023 I was watching a concept, nar that beach better be exactly how I saw it,.. The first trailer has been out for that long now it’s considered back in the day.
I can forgive rockstar though I will never forget I will never anticipate another rockstar game in my life.
Massive, massive props to Rockstar for firing problematic managers. Culture shift starts at the top, and that shows they know that and it isn't just lip service
I am curious about the actual impact of the loss of employees during the union debacle. It's interesting that a week after their firing that Rockstar announced that the game was to going to be delayed. Interesting that they've named the removal of "problematic" managers as part of their efforts to improve the efficiency of their game development and corporate culture. Very spiteful positioning.
Dude they are making the greatest entertainment product of all time . They should crunch and be glad that's how exceptional games are made . Also they are getting paid for the overtime . So sick of this whiny spoiled mentality with all this guidelines and politcs and dei hires – that's why we barely have great games coming from western studios anymore.
Perhaps this is why there was a major swamp outside of a Saint Denis. They can reuse all that, rebuild those assets for a modern-day Florida airboat Bonanza
11:40 honestly this is what all companies should've been doing. You either get paid extra penalty rates, or get your time back as paid leave. Anything less is time theft.
I need to understand why we're calling going back to office work "draconian" lol what would make it make sense to me is if optional remote work was a thing before Covid because if it wasn't, this is just going back to normal and I don't get the whining. Yes there's the difficulties with childcare and family issues etc but that's always been a part of life and especially for things like this for good reason lol just figure it out. It's not that difficult plenty of people do it. I will admit though that them doing it for increased security and then still getting their shit leaked anyway is definitely cause for concern, but I think that just means they need to clean up their security. The first leak definitely had something to do with rockstar India not having proper security training for it's staff and I wouldn't be surprised if this one had something to do with a similar issue as well.
I’ll never trust Strauss Zelnick again, don’t know why I did in the first place. He flat out lied when he said there would be a physical version of GTA6.

Greed.
Why is his guitar blurred out?
TBH 8+ years does not seem very extreme these days for a game that big and with such enormous pressure to be good…
Wonder how long HL3 will take.

Great video. Off to read the article.

Someday I'm gonna get the notification for a "Why Half-Life 3 took 20 years to make" video.
Someday….

We got GTA VI Behind the scenes before GTA VI
But they’re not shipping games. They’re shipping codes.😐
why do you sound like that

Good to hear you immediately debunk all the grifters that claim all the old guard at rockstar is gone. Great video!
Yuge news this week
I feel bad for that lady that had to ask for a second delay she must have been terrified
Yuge.😊

The sweat detail in nightclubs is insane!
