Is the entire internet potentially cooked? And how secure is the number 4? Many are wondering this.

Who knows what malicious parties may be able to make use of such vulnerabilities, but I'm sure these websites were promised to them 3000 years ago.
It's honestly not even just vibe coding. I mean, that's certainly part of it, don't get me wrong. No, it's also the fact that AI can more easily see vulnerabilities. A bad actor can use AI to find vulnerabilities a lot easier than if they'd looked themselves.
That's why pixiv was down!
It’s probably a good thing this happened, it finally forces everyone to update their PHP. Like the y2k bug maybe the cost of upgrading and dealing with it has the benefit of improving the world’s systems as a whole
I've worked in cybersecurity for the past 7 years, it's way worse than people think. this is super common and there are thousands of huge companies, with vulnerabilities like the "4" example, that millions of people entrust their data with.
4️⃣
I was wondering why r34 was down
the issue is from 2004, it just never got fixed because of changes in the culture of the codin community and how coding jobs work now
I've been thinking about getting this game just for the campaign ever since I saw the trailer, but I'm definitely waiting until it goes on sale
saaaar, do not redeem
That explains what happened to the art websites.
My debit card just got hacked today. Haven't even touched it in months, haven't logged into the banking website. But I got a text about suspicious transactions, checked the history, and saw like 7 different attempted purchases at "Amazon" vendors with different names. Each one charged $0.00. It seems like someone was pinging my card to see if it would get declined.
Lots of fearmongering yet again.
If SonicWire's data breach is related, that was an early hit i guess. It happened a few days before anyone else I knew/followed started mentioning other affected sites, and they're still shut down. For a little while I thought someone just really wanted to leak Vocaloid 7 a month early.
FF14 has been down for over 12 hours cuz of the PHP thing. I can't even imagine how PHP reliant and how much spaghetti are in that code lol.
Today was a shit show at work
Oh! Lemme guess! 4! 😁
One issue is AI (Artificial Intelligence) and the other is Actually Indians
my school website is gone
bet all of these is bcs big corpo insist they need our personal data monitored continuously
"something known as PHP"
Kinda jealous of you right now.
Don't forget java just got security vulnerabillities!
how will this affect the H1B economy?
Ngl it actually IS kinda secure (the “key is 1-2 digits” thing) because it’s so stupidly made that hackers wouldn’t suspect it.
Seems like we’re gonna end up in a cyber punk esque situation where the internet gets shut off due to ai
"what eth-"
slowly shakes head
"ah"
literally the equivalent of setting your password to "password"
Just because we want to jailbreak the PS5 and other consoles does NOT mean we want to jailbreak the entire internet…
"AI is so useful, people, our dozens of ads talking about relying on AI paint the picture! Our super-special AI discovered TWO CRITICAL, DANGEROUS KEY FACTORS of 'old' websites that makes EVERYONE VULNERABLE! We need to FIX those so you can be SAFE! TRUST US!"
Doesn't matter if an IT can explain it, I feel like I'm being corralled like a cow to a barn to be strung up, monitored and bled dry for their 'new, secure and totally unmonitored' structure. They [government and friends of] have been pushing strongly for people to update and to abandon previous structures, tech and manufacturing. This feels like a scare tactic to scam and install monitoring under the basis of 'safety'.
I'm going to be that tin hat and that naysayer on this one.
Indian engineering working as intended
To be fair, I would have never guessed that the code number trusted to keep a major website secure would be 4.
atp, they don't even need the leak and just guess what the key were
2:10 OHHH so this explains why the 34 site was down 😊
