  1. They made Zakhaev into Ben Shapiro and Shepard into a bald nothing burger. It was like the Avengers wannabe of the mil sims + wanted to be like Sicario, but had a depth of a puddle. It was just ass through and through

  2. Yes purely because they forced Warzone to be the real mainline story instead of the campaign. It absolutely murdered any sort of cohesion and storytelling, to the point where dead characters simply didn't die, because they had a bundle or battle pass skin. I genuinely do not know how anyone was expected to learn the beyond trash story from Warzone.

  3. YES, unlike the original you dont get something good out of the game, I see people praising MW4 but like they they killed off TF141 in the most garbage way possible, I dont hate the korean war aspect, it was alright but what was the point of anything? Also it's definitely believeable how price walks into a nightclub and 1 man army´s Makarov´s entire group, GROUNDED.

IMO the devs heard our complaints but ¨ TRIES ¨ to do the tone, not write it. I feel disappointed because this is a follow up to one of the worse canpaigns ever, but they just decide to kill off everyone after failing to understand the weight of Soap´s death and not even i expected they would double down on killing off characters when they already failed the first.

Some people might say im being too negative but like when you actually witness your favorite franchises sloppify the only thing I can do is feel disappointment to the commuity and the game, you CAN´T keep finding bits to praise devs for anymore because they don´t seem to learn, you have to see what they are willing to do to CARE for the game, do they actually talk about what they enjoy? do they understand the system they built and its purpose?? Do they dislike aspects they want to improve??? You you see what I'm saying or not?

To me the campaign doesn´t tell me ¨RETURN TO FORM¨, they will and will never return to form, because they focus a random mode like DMZ not for fun but to target random people, like seriously im a nice guy but im tired of scanning through every little thing just to find one thing to praise. the best mode IW made was Spec ops and they won´t invest on IT! the MW3 spec ops is a free building block that was unique to IW, yet they won´t turn it into a golden egg, they just copy Treyarch or this, the fact DMZ is being sold to you now is insane.

Im done ranting about pointless stuff but, I learned one thing, Im not gonna judge on small nudges, ima judge now based on what they are willing to do for there game, because real people would actually talk about the good and bad of there game and not ignore people when ask if SBMM exist with data.

(Again, I don´t hate the Korean plot idea but what was the point of Price and the rest being in this game and killing MORE of them after the worst campaign you made?)

  4. IDC anymore

MW and CoD are dead slop, no matter what they do I won't buy them anymore, and the studios are the reason.
They've proven to be rotted to the core for a decade now, and more importantly the indie devs have produced a better version for $38.

A proven independent studio that listens to player feedback or a bloated AAA studio with a decade of slop?
Not exactly a difficult choice for anyone with an IQ over 67

  5. Absolutely, it shows how utterly laughably creatively bankrupt they are, the new games are not even comparable in scope or bombast of the originals, it's just netflix tier operator slop to sell warzone skins.

  6. The MW reboot should've been the continuation of the Ghosts story instead. Ghosts had an amazing campaign and was left on a great cliffhanger, which really could've been taken anywhere. Also side note, THE worst desicion (**STORY WISE**) is continuing the story outside the campaign via the seasons bs. I've kept solid with the Black Ops story 1 to 1 since WAW (Excluding BO7 for obvious reasons, BO4 and BO3 as they're not really relevant imo) however, when all the seasonal trailers being cannon stories just completely lost me so I ignored them completely as if they were something irrelevant.

  7. Reboot's story might be good, until you realize that pretty much every single major character death is an unceremonious bullet to the head…

  8. Like the video and your analysis, but you're giving the devs too much credit.
The search-for-the-weapon plotlines weren't an intentional thematic motif. And the circle back to "the line" was probably the graphics designer going "oh, shit, we need to have something meaningful to say, let's make a moral reference to the first game."
MW1 was solid, MW2 was fun if a little clunky, MW3 was shit, MW4 is just a desperate wrap-up. The reboot series was manufactured by devs with bold things to say but no balls or narrative experience to commit.

  9. Modern Warfare 2019 was genuinely fantastic- it was more subtle for a cod game and it hinted heavily at being more mature in the future….Until Warzone literally fucked everything up and turned cod into a marvel universe, its absolutley crazy that you could come to the next game to play its story and find out that you needed to play warzone to know why certain characters like Alex and Graves are back out of nowhere.

  10. What kind of annoyed me only slightly was that the enemy never unmasked him in the MW4 campaign despite being held captive. I'd assume the North Koreans (or anyone enemy of his) would want to know the face of the enemy they are holding captive but nope, they still kept it on him lol. Felt like they were gonna disrespect some luchador if they unmasked him

  11. I think the campaign was really good , the story telling and the progression was on point, no vague missions , etc. idk everything seemed good, really good would campaign after mw 2

  12. I still dont get the MW4 glaze, same story format as original MW2 and we barely even had 141 together, mostly Price going rogue, and fk me the SK Marine group was boring and missions were too long. Mads Mikkelsen wasted as Makrov's Daddy, how did they manage to dumb down two characters at the same time with one line.

  13. multiplayers story needs to at maximum be a side story to the campaign or show the after effects of it if there is any story at all, the story trailers for the game are disregarded by players who only care about the gameplay. therefore, they shouldn’t effect the main story of the campaigns and also dmz now that that exists.
