My guess is the world is deteriorating, breaking down, and the laws of reality are collapsing while previous and future kalpas are beginning to bleed into the current universe (this could be how they make eso lore canon). This is happening because the world was supposed to end in skyrim. Alduin was supposed to do his job and reset the kalpa. But the Dragonborn stopped him. The Elder Scrolls become the key to fixing the current kalpa. You can have past versions of daedric princes, new daedra, completely new races and enemies. Sheogorath reverts back into Jyggalag, making two twin Jyggilags. Completely wacky shit to kick off the end of the elder scrolls universe.
