Disney Hexed is officially back with a 2nd trailer one month before release and it… is STILL not looking good. In any way. We know more of the plot (and how surface level it is) we see more of the visuals (and how quirky dink it continues to be). We’re hearing the jokes which are the most millenial of all time, and to add on top, there’s some sus looking shots in there too. Nothing like AI suspicions to add on top. Somehow… Disney’s Hexed Looks EVEN WORSE…

I'm the last person who'd want to defend an animated movie with the babe-face (I seriously think at this point that Tangled was a creative net loss), but I think the broom at 13:34 isn't actually wrong. You look at its "backside", not its front, where a face should be. Look at its other hand. Maybe the only problematic thing about it is not the hand, but the body: it looks like its leaning away, not forward, with its back towards us.
Edit: I rewatched that part. My bad. Damn, it looks bad, the hand look like I described, but the body moved differently…

holy appleblood I swear everytime I remember this is about to exist I feel my brain starting to peel itself.
I know it’s wrong but as a writer and an artist I’ve made myself a little project together with a friend. I’m legit just rewriting Hexed. I’m keeping the witch craft but I’m striving to get away from any feeling the owl house. So I can’t remember if she has a name yet but now HIS name is Kian. A anxious little guy who likes to style with his clothes. (If you’re extreme then yes, he’s a femboy) and for his specific fashion, he gets pushed around a lot. He tries to not mind and just stay out of comments way by keeping his headphones on. During all of this he’s also grieving a missing friend, his only friend. And One day at home trying to quiet his head, he end up hitting his desk with flaming fists.
This is a work in progress, probably won’t become anything more than a fun thing for me and friends but if people are interested I’d love to expand and make it bigger bc it’s genuinely fun to do rewrites and just genuinely make up a new story from scratch😋

Small critique. I find this video style so jarring, like plying 3 sec of a scene, not being able to see what happened before he just cuts.
Now I know I could just go watch the trailer but maybe play the trailer, muted audio, reacting and then voice all your critiques after the trailer replaying the scenes that you have an issue with.
What are you talking about that this movie is horrible? I can tell it's awesome because it has the emotional depth it needs for the daughter-mother relationship of Billie and Alice.
There's too much constant motion. The camera moves while the characters are moving while facial expressions last too long, there isn't a single moment where the majority of the screen isn't moving. Even with the cat in the front seat, why is the camera shaking so much? There isn't a moment that can sit with. We'll see if that's exclusive to the trailers though

this feels so incredibly safe. it feels like disney is so so afraid of trying anything new that this is just so many of their movies put into a mixer, topped with the same "adorkable" main girl just reskinned for a new world. if they're so concerned about money, i feel like branching out and trying literally anything else would do better at this point.
