that's some wonderful game you introduce to us. i can't wait to play it myself.
and as someone who know a little about jewelry, the bigger and more intact the gem is the MORE valuable it will be, i am talking about 10x, 20x or even more valuable. so no, no sane jeweler will break a big and intact gem into smaller pieces, unless the gem has fractures inside since the beginning.
