I went above and beyond to find a Shalpha Female Emboar, don’t do my line dirty.😭
I’d love a Grass/Steel Torterra form. Maybe make it more of a tank role, or even change its stats a bit to make it more of an offensive set up sweeper. Or just do the Empoleon treatment and change its hidden ability to something way more fitting on its role

Iron fist should have the protective pads effect added to it. Making the user safe from contact. It wouldn't be enough for Infernape, but it would be a solid buff that makes sense and keeps the ability different from other damage boosting abilities.

Torrerra might be competitively bad but can we agree that the design is awesome?
Gen Four getting legends Arceus and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl but not getting shit is INSANE. No regional, no mega, no gimmick. Gen 2 starters have megas or a regional. Gen 3 starters all have megas from the Hoenn remake. Gen 5…well one regional form and a mega. They’re bad but they got SOMETHING. Gen 6 starters even got megas. Gen 4 just got skipped for everything. Make it make sense. Who is out here skipping Sinnoh for fun?

Gen 4 starters look great in a vacuum but in practice they lack the power to match up properly

The second you said Gen 4 was the weakest trio of starters, only then did I realize that those three have seen ZERO attention from GameFreak since D/P/P.
No Megas, no regional forms, no significant buffs of any kind. Just…nothing. Sinnoh is the forgotten generation, overshadowed by a side game that takes places in that very region but in the ancient past and under a different name! And they couldn't even be included in THAT game's starter trio.
I remember playing Legends Z-A thinking Piplup would have been the better Water starter over Totodile. Give Gen 4 some love, man. It's struggling out here.
Meganium is still high, yes its a good mega but I don’t see it being run over other megas ever.
At the start of the video I wrote down my three guesses. It was:
3: Gen 2
2: Gen 5
1: Gen 4
And I stand by that.

I think 2 would be easily the worst just on the face of it, not including new forms and gimmick forms. But 5 and 4 also deserve to be at the bottom, they are all horrendously bad.

I don't understand why they keep shafting my boy Infernape like this! Like his ability Iron Fist gives a boosted 20% of all his punching moves meanwhile you got like others with Sharpness, Strong Jaw and even Mega Launcher boosted 50% on their moves. Is Gamefreak afraid to buff Iron Fist to fit with the rest of them or concern of people will spam a 50% stronger Drain Punch in battles.
Oh and let's not ignore the fact they don't give my boy Infernape a mega evolution despite it being base Son Wukong aka Goku. It having a fire on it's head just screams it can go super Saiyan.
