Thinking more on it, just thinking about the Backrooms and No clipping. So in a way this makes me think of a Backrooms entity who managed to get out and is now just no clipping people into walls.

You constantly play noises but then when it reaches a point where people either decide not to respond to the person's call or the person themselves just idgnores the sounds, it is only then where it turns out what the sound was is actually happening.
As an example, if aliens were being used the person get's abducted. If zombies, a zombie breaks in and attacks though to maintain video it's easily killed by the person or maybe a zombie hunter deals with it.
