You're also missing out on the fact that PC isn't "emulating" PS5 anymore, It's natively "running" a PS5 in PC.

Customers will only tolerate so much, especially with the cost of living rising every year. Gamers have choices and Sony will push them away to PC, Steam. Maybe even Microsoft if they play their cards tight

Steam did record numbers last week. (Idk if) Sony will find out the hard way that if we can't own our games there is no reason to have a Playstation anymore. It's just a worse loceked down pc cause the advantage was the discs.

As usual gamers are full of it. Jailbreaking requires you to stay on a version of the firmware and stay offline. New games will come out and you'll update, because you're too addicted, too much FOMO. For i never gaf about gta at all. Go me it is a trash game. Its so slow as far as the mechanics and gameplay. Never like the story or online. I cant stand what Playstation is doing forcing me to update my firmware just to access internet and multi-player and so on. It is not fair for someone who just trying to play my games. I getting to the point to if this continues I am traded my ps5 pro in or selling it.

I must be crazy because nothing I've seen about GTA6 looks that amazing to me. But more power to anyone who enjoys that, there's clearly a lot of them.
Beaides depending on customers, they refused to limit ai and ai everytime will help you jailbreak it. They currently doing it to the switch 2 right now. It wont stop until everything is consumer friendly.
All they had to do was just admit u own ur games and listen to the player base about what they wanted.

I’ve had my PlayStation turned off for a while, in protest of PS scummy practices. First time I turned it on, it tried updating, I cancelled the update but none of my games would play without the console being updated and online. Keep in mind some of these games I have spent 1000’s of hours playing but now I can’t play them without being on the latest firmware. These douche canoes are only convincing me that maybe I should jailbreak my console rather than holding onto any hope that they would choose to respect me as a customer.

I dont really get how the piracy and jailbroken PC and emulation can affect PS5's bottomline when the ACCESSIBILITY of jailbreaking, emulation and piracy are too much of a high hurdle for the average gamer. Sony is banking on the average gamer with disposable income to just buy their consoles and play the games there directly and instantly. Even if GTA 6 is playable on PC and can be pirated, the average gamer wont want to touch that and rather buy a console to avoid whatever stigma they have from piracy/emulation/jailbreaking.
I dont even see this as a war when ACCESSIBILITY of this is the main issue. please think again. we need to fight Sony in a smarter direction.
