The word throw is being thrown around too much (haha), every single time you lose a gold lead isn't always a throw even if you're 5k gold up. I think if you're 6k gold up or more then you can start to call alot of gold lead losses as throws but it would have to be on a case-by-case basis. Then 9k+ is obvioualy inexcusable no matter what happened

Upsets are fun so the idea of best of ones at random makes for a entertaining show. Their idea of multiple best of threes were the best teams only plays The worst teams is a recipe for zero viewers and no fun.

I get what Vedi is saying, but this is basically plain manipulation to try to get the BEST teams to advance. The Worlds atm is good because nobody is safe if they lose. I dont care if GENG, HLE, DK, T1 are the favorites, they still need to win to make it to the finals. If they drop early, it's all good. People already bitch A LOT about LCK teams always advancing and that Worlds is basically a LCK vs LPL until LCK CUP finals 2 happens in Worlds finals. People want the madness of every draw being bound to luck. They don't want predictable games with predictable results and that's why Worlds is so good. Even a horrible team in a lucky day could get a W and send a better team to the dumpster and make the brackets insane.
I'm from NA and have been making fun of EU forever. With that being said, HLE is definitely beatable by G2. I did not expect TL to win AL and we upsetted them. The matter of fact is, this years world feels incredibly competitive and the west feels stronger and the east weaker than usual. Its HLE favored, but not as much as we think. I give it 60-40 but G2 are known to play out of their minds when their back is against the wall. I can see them going 2-1 vs HLE to than lose 2-0 to TL or another weaker opponent (than HLE). So with all that EU vs NA, i'll cheer for any western team this worlds and hope for all major regions to make it out of swiss. Hell, its the world vs Korea at this point.

KR Should have been group 1 CN should be group 2 and they should match teams in group 3 and and 4 respectively with EU #1, NA #2, LCP #2, and Play-Ins Winner in Group 4 and NA #1, EU #2, LCP #1, and BR #1 in Group 3. KR and CN should never see each other in R1 Swiss. 0-1 should be for shitters and 1-0 should be for good teams. If a non-KR/CN team can make it to 1-0 through that then good on them, if they cant they should be 0-1. I am tired of pretending that the gap is getting closer between KR and CN instead of the game getting more coinflippy due to the changes this season. I don't think the gameplay has improved in the west I just think league is in a very volatile state this season(Perhaps the most volatile state it has been in ever) which makes actual skill matter less since games can easily flip due to bounties and catchup mechanics which overly punish the better teams for even playing the game. I hope they memory hole this season like they did to last season.

Why not split the 16 teams into 2 groups of 8 and you play oposite group based on group seeding? Maybe make the groups double round robin or just BO2 and just count the wins.

If TL loses to LOS it'll be because they reverted back to being passive again. If they play like they did against AL, LOS doesn't have a chance. I'd like to see quid on something a bit safer. He doesn't seem to have the confidence right now to pilot stuff like akali. If he starts playing like how we know he can, TL has a great chance of going far even in quarters.

In fairness to Dade, 2 of his 3 losses were him getting run down by S3 Kassadin (rip c9 never 4get), so there's some draft and preparation (both on Dade and the coaching staff) to blame here
I know this is insane cope but Quid was so far behind by the mid game that he couldn't assassinate anyone but he kept trying for the jinx, which would usually cause jinx to fall back instead of running over every team fight. It would've been better if he were ever able to kill her of course but he just didn't have enough damage and had to contribute something to the fights

The G2-HLE match sucks so hard, if it goes as scheduled G2 are just out after playing 3x Eastern Teams. If there's an upset HLE goes out playing 3x eastern teams plus on paper the best western team. The tournament is far less exciting with them both bowing out so early.
If it happened in the 2-2 so be it, but in the 1-2 its just ridiculous when you have T1 and BLG just fraudulently getting weaker western teams / minor region teams throughout the entire swiss stage. There aren't many teams that wouldn't make quarters if they had T1's run, it's so fraudulent.
