We did NOT go quietly. We Won.

Destiny lives. Bungie just dropped an update blog post detailing their plans for the future of the Destiny franchise, including potential future Destiny games, the unvaulting of Destiny’s old content and improvements to Marathon that remove its genre constraints. A new leadership team at Bungie has taken the lead. Now we need to see what happens. The good news is that finally, there is hope for the future of Destiny, Destiny 2 and Bungie.

  1. This is a good sign but I'm not gonna believe it until i get to play it. We've been burned and lied to on too many occasions.
But if it does happen and new content or a new game arrives ill be the first one to splash the cash on it.

  2. You didht won shit,. I spend 90 euro for five years 45 of that is everytime buying seasonable and all all bpasses.

If i do not get all battle passes to my available, I refuse to come back. I dont want to spend 200+20+20+20+20+20 worth of silver. This game is not worth this.

  3. "WE WON!!!"
…won what exactly? a return to the plantation? "we did not go quietly" do you people really think your kvetching meant anything to bungle at all? the ONLY reason bungle is going back to destiny is because of the spectacular failure of marathon. had marathon just been a partial successes, you would been left like a whitetrash baby in a mall parking lot.

  4. Bring back old content to be played again..sure. i can see how sony would give in to letting them do that. Sony isnt gping to give in to a destiny 3 being made. This battle might have a small win for us, but we are FAR from actually winning until destiny 3 gets a release date.

  5. When they announced that they were putting d2 into maintenance mode my heart genuinely broke this is a game that ive played since the beta and through all the ups and downs but it was our game we met people made friends some of which im still friends to this day with so when they announced this that d2 isn't done it was like getting the light back and yes getting the content back will take time but who cares as long as they stick to what they said I am happy to wait because we are guardians and we make our own fate

  6. gotta say i was kinda surprised to see the positive destiny 2 community, last i touched this game which was like years ago it seemed to be consiered the worst game in the world for its level of microtransactions and gating content behind various mechanics and so on, what changed ?

  7. I really hope they figure out some way to make the stories from the seasons playable in some way. I always thought it was annoying to put story stuff in season dialogue that we lost so quickly. I don't expect them to bring back the events and stuff from the seasons but finding a way to bring that story stuff in would be nice

  8. I'm sorry but this reads not as a apology but as a "oh shit, sony is going to shut us down" because of bad decisions and now they are looking for an out. Be happy but weary. long term this may not be what everyone wants.

  9. I couldn’t even focus at work once I heard the news. I was so happy. We can’t forgot that we have to financially support Destiny. Stop complaining and actually provide aid, buy the dlc, and play so they can continue to make content. It Sony realizes they are losing money again, destiny will get stopped.

  10. bungie have a lot of work to do to get back trust with the fans back over 10 years ago and hear byf excitement begin to heal my love for destiny 2 after leaving over a year ago

  11. To help emphasize your point in this video, the ONLY other game I’ve heard managed this type of accomplishment was a gatcha game called Morimens and in a similar way that had a monumental impact on the game and the devs as well. And that is literally it, so many games I’ve genuinely enjoyed have either been shelved or allowed to just die at the hands of exects so it is genuinely worth celebrating what you all have done here, and here’s to hoping for a brighter future for Destiny and Marathon going forward.

  12. Tell u what, i stopped playing and thought about going back to finish the saga before it would have gotten shut down after the news. Now the new news might even bring back some of my friends to play again and without the need to regrind levels we might play more often again but for what i have learned i better not hope too much bc destiny can be a fragile thing

  13. I'm actually against them touching D2 again. they left it in a roughly acceptable state (with no more new story that they WILL mess sup), and here they come in to break everything AGAIN. Guess they decided it wasnt shittified enough!

Unvaulting is only fair to the old time players… but I bet they can screw that up too.
