Listen, it's great what they're doing and I praise them for it. But let's not forget the game released in a state that it shouldn't have. Yes they have come a long way, that's awesome. But the game really shouldn't have released as it did, that was kinda not great, the vision was there, but it was rough around the edges.
Wait til Hoyoverse decides to make a single player oriented rpg. These MMORPG studios make so much money they can incubate colossal projects like this for years and then come out swinging. Now we just wait for Plan 8 and Doke V holy shit Pearl Abyss is on FIRE.
Glaze is a little excessive with this everyone needs to fckn chill. This game is not that good. It’s fun, but very copy pasta Asian game. They cash these out the same way they do iPhones.

A three way deadlock of peakness
583.3 hrs in (I excluded 10ish hrs for idle) I am finally getting rdy to beat the story to start the DLC but I still have SOOOOOOO MUCH of the map left to discover! This game is a Magnum Opus..this game is literally what all of us wee lads in the 80s/90s dreamed about! When we went from GB Pokemon/nes Zelda to N64 stadium or Zelda Ocarina or even Conkers Bad Fur all the way to the Final Fantasy jump from 7,8,9 to 10 on PS2… the huge jumps! This was what we had in our imagination! This game makes me feel like a kid again! Its simply a modern day marvel! And were just 8ish months in!

Crimson Desert was fun. The characters and story weren't all that special or enhanced but the gameplay and world was well built.
I stopped playing this game because the lighting on ps5 with an oled is absolutely atrocious. 😅 I will buy for pc eventually

My estimation, this game will be as old as Skyrim. Multi-decades type of game. It just never dies. Immortal game. This type of game attracts highly skilled modders.
They adapted all the good sides of other games, and build a sandbox game that has everything. Goated.

Nah I don’t think this game should be an MMO. They already have Black Desert Online for that. Part of what makes Crimson Desert so cool and appealing to a lot of people is it’s a single player world you can explore at your own pace. Having a bunch of other players running around the map would break the immersion imo. However an optional co-op mode would be kind of cool to see implemented. Three players max, one plays as Kliff, one plays as Damiane, one plays as Oongka. They’re already in the game with their own customization and combat and it wouldn’t be too many players running around at once like it would be as an MMO.
Im going to play this game forever
Imagine the DLC possibilities with a game and a map as incredible as this. The sea is only the beginning. GOTY for sure
