  1. It's clear that the master mind behind all WOKE sh*t owns: journos, developers, influencers, and most likely they are stakeholders for some company.
But, they are making a mistake thinking that audiences will just buy that trash because some aggressive marketing says them to. No sir… it's not that simple.

  2. They never had any fans, gaming has fans and gamers just looked to them for information as long as that information was good gamers kept coming back as soon as they implemented their biases and agendas gamers left or lashed out which is deserved.

  3. Never watched G4tv or heard about Frosk before this video. Went to watch the video you mentioned of her and… She was completely right. Anyone that heard her speech and got offended by it, or is failing to recognize what happens (because of their own biases) or is part of the problem.
Blaming her and that speech for the end of G4Tv is yet again defending the bad action and actors while blaming the victim.

  4. i mean i really hate4d alion isolation too, but thats cause of how much it fucked up established facts in the universe. amanda gets a flame thrower, and a gun that is a mini railgun and she 'scared' it away, those alone are two tings that would fucking kill anything short of a pretorian or queen. a warrior canonically can have its head blown off by a 12 gauge shotgun running 00 buckshot. it takes a few shots but a 9mm can kill a soldier, oh you are likely going down too cause you gotta get basically point blank, but it will do it. she gets grenades which will frag a bug too. now no im also not a fan of how it plays, but i never liked gams like outlast. i dont like jump scare kill hide and seak games. doesnt mean im gonna sit on them and call the game bad for that, mechanically it actually was very well made with a learning enemy AI. but this guy…wtf. oh, its a bad game cause its to hard? bitch i grew up with the NES and the SNES, lets talk hard games. go play the original mega man, go play ninja gaiden, go play the original zelda or zelda 2. i could keep going but you get my point i hope. and yeah, i complain about all these games these days desperately sucking off darksouls and ramming the souls-cock into every metroidvania that comes out, but thats cause i dont feel every single one needs to be a twitch reaction, punish you if you have dissabilities, often badly understood what makes darksouls actually work, fuck you fest.

  5. Never trust a paid reviewer we used to call them urinalists. Much better to trust those who actually play the games. Caseoh is a good example.

  6. Companies realized there were more news outlets, ones more favorable to bribes, so those that spoke for fans could be ignored. To survive, at the time, these sites tried to attract those companies. For interviews, exclusive/early access footage, or having them first. This got out of hand and whatever delicate balance they claimed to have shattered. Now, it's a whole new balance between these companies and ideology. Now, those who give them views and keep them relevant aren't even in the equation to them. They were tricked into thinking this was business as usual, being between the companies and 'modern audience'. The trouble is that those who agree with the new dogma are not showing up in the numbers needed. The most views these sites get is those clowning on them. The people doing that are the ones that would have followed them in the old days of sanity. Even that's not enough to save them, if the ideology views and hate views to mock them were enough, there wouldn't be lay offs. For a while, they leaned into the hate and tried to rage bait their former fans. All while mocking them, saying they were beneath the new audience. An audience that, again, didn't show up in the numbers needed to save these sites.

  7. Good thing I've never looked up a single game review ever, nor have I ever paid them any attention whatsoever. I prefer to watch the unsponsored streamer or youtuber.

  8. 10:00 Haha he said "opinion" meaning it's not factual…it's not truth….it's the opinion of some random, arrogant jackass …you being paid to give it, if anything makes your opinion worse, as $$ influences behavior

  9. Whoa whoa whoa whoa there was a time when people actually trusted IGN?? I've been on the internet for 27 years. I cannot remember a single time in those 27 years IGN was trust ed

  10. yeah if the american games industry worked like the japanese games industry, we'd never get need for speed most wanted with the blacklist 15, instead we'd get need for speed 9 stylised as need for speed IX which'll be the exact same as need for speed 4 road challenge with newer cars! we'd never get test drive unlimited, we'd instead get a straight reskin of test drive 5/test drive 6 except for the cars! halo would be a straight doom clone, richard burns rally wouldn't be a true rally sim, it'd be a generic checkpoint timer arcade rally game, call of duty would be a doom clone, and every game would be a HD/4K/UHD/8K/3D reskin of the exact same game you got sold to for 25-plus years!

  11. There is no journalism. Its paid advertising pretending to be an honest review. Everyone knows it so no one cares. In the last 10 years there has not been one purchase decision I have made based on anything from any of these places. I avoid and ignore. In this case, if you ignore them, they really will go away.

  12. and like GG1 and 2, the journalist funding rabbit hole always goes all the way back to black rock, vanguard, and state street. We all know who is pushing DEI in gaming, we know who invented DEI, we all know who influences investors to enshitify everything from our rpgs, to our video games, to even our electronics. Yet, for some reason, people would rather memory hole who is the main cause of all these problems. Just because the main issue is going to be an uphill struggle of monumental proportions, does not mean it's not worth facing the main problem head on.

  13. All journalism is like that now: movies, games, politics, etc.

It's all corporately-owned shills and bots these days, listening to a real person with honest opinions (no matter how 'flawed' they are) has become necessary to learn anything anymore.

  14. If you still trusted IGN in 2016, you probably weren't paying attention to gaming media at all. It was in 2007 that it was basicly open knowledge that corpo game reviewers were being forced to give AAA games 7s or higher so the Devs could get their metacritic score bonus pay.
So it's literally been twenty years, for a decade I had to listen to people tell me "that's not true!" despite there being overt evidence.

  15. What’s even worse is that those paid reviewes get indexed by ai and engines so when you google for example “was Wolverine a success” google or any ai will tell you “yeah it was a critical success!” And then feed you lies about record sales and what not.

Only real metric at this point is involvement of the players and real, average gamer reviews. Everything else should be considered misinformation (which it is).

    Great vid mate, ty!

  16. FWIW, brilliant games can absolutely flop. Otherwise, Okami would have been #1 when it was released. Sometimes games are ahead of their time, or other factors determine their sales & not the quality of the game. Beyond good & evil, spec ops the line, enslaved Odyssey to the west & lots of others were commercial flops but amazing games at the time they released.
