The first movie was almost neo noir, with great elements of the anti-hero pulled back in due to a need for vengeance and redemption and justice after what happened to the old lady who gave him a sense of peace and worth for living after a life of violence..all brought together with great cinematography which expressed this through great shadows and camera angles etc which expressed visually the psyche of stathams character and devolvement backninto that life…this one seems to be a super bad arse who kicks everyone else's arse with none of the other elements and no express narrative undertone. I liked the first because it was similar to you were never really here with Joaquin Phoenix another classic noir which skirted ans implied the violence but never fully showed it.

Idk how I feel about The Beekeepers going rogue. I would've rather see Adam Clay find another evil organization of assholes to take down frlm the ground up and maybe the threat is too much for him to handle, so then were introduced to another Beekeeper or two. Him taking down a elite secret organization of people doing bad things when the first film led us to believe they were there solely to protect humanity (the hive) is a bit dumb. Maybe if this was the plot for Beekeeper 3 (or Beekeepers) and give us a movie where the Beekeepers decide at the end of a second film that humanity is too far gone, but Adam Clay does not agree. That would make sense, but just doesn't make sense to me that one movie later, the whole organization is attempting to overthrow the government AND Adam Clay is working with this weasel from the first film??? Still excited for it, but it doesn't make sense. Also . . . giving a Beekeeper a super charged Dodge Coronet Superbee with armor and a gattling gun called "The Stinger" is very badass!!!

I didn't really get the point of the first BeeKeeper movie. So he goes to that scam center that had been ripping people off, including the older woman friend ( or whatever the relationship was ) that he had, then he only kills the security guards, while letting all the people that actually did the scam calls and bank-account draining just leave the building. What was that supposed to achieve?
