Played the ArcheAge demo and it's nothing like the original, combat feels soo slow and movement feels clunky.
6:40 I wish I was more active and present in the original ArcheAge. I made an account at release and played a bit, but not enough. I got sucked up in other games unfortunately. What a shame I missed that, cause it really did feel like a game I would've enjoyed.
1:00 I hope they fix the clunkiness then, cause Dragonwilds has been meh, in my experience with that.
Since the game is so similar to Valheim, I can't help but compare, and well, Valheim is a lot smoother than Dragonwilds. And Valheim, as far as I'm aware is a much smaller company with a lot less resources, so Jagex don't really have an excuse.
And also, before anyone tries to come with a clever response about OSRS and RS3 are also clunky games, they are clunky because they're old and the way the games were designed intentionally. Dragonwilds is a whole new approach to RS that should be better because of the way it's designed requires it to not feel bad. Clunkiness needs to go. And please, a better menu system for spells…
I get the fear of "new players won't join" already present Runescape games, but lets be honest – nearly nobody wants to start a game against players with up to 20 years advantage.

4:10 RuneScape veteran here. Reignited was the biggest middle finger to it's playerbase. You touched on the point that it would devalue accounts that have been playing for over 20 years.
I think people don't realize how long that is, how much love they have given the game for their entire life.
And there's salty OSRS players that wanted RS Reignited to "dunk on us" because they can't fathom that most RS3 players have not/do not buy their accounts. Apparently the thought of "you could have engaged with MTX at one point 10 years ago" is enough for OSRS players to call RS3 players achievements worthless, and the thousands of hours put into the game irrelevant. I've been playing Ironman mode for 12 years, and even I know that it's just heartless to do this to every veteran's account.
Over a year ago, there was discussions of Reignited servers, which were also hit with massive backlash with the community. Jagex promised they would have "extensive discussions" with the playerbase if they ever considered this idea. Yet, they completely ignored that and tried it anyways with no input.
I don't like the combat in the new ArcheAge, not a fan of the action combat myself.

RS Reignited was a horrible idea. Would've put the nail in the coffin for RuneScape.
I'm glad the devs actually listened to the implications and consequences the game mode would have instead of fucking over their entire playerbase for one that might come.
Nobody would've stuck with Reignited for more than the free trial
I was so ready to give RS3 a try with a fresh economy not impacted by decades of MTX…. Guess I'll keep playing OSRS

I’m ranked top 300 in the world on HiScores, 25 years of game play, 300b+ bank with multiple party hats and over 2000 days, DAYS ( that’s 2000 x 24 hrs) of playtime and a 35k Runescore. This would have made me either quit forever and not even bother keeping up with the master trim cape or flat out sell my account.. I think they realized that I’m not alone in feeling that way and if they lose the OGs who keep this game alive, well… I’m sure they weighed out the options. Very glad they came to their senses.

Damn I loved archeage. Watching those clips brings me back to some epic sea battles. So much won and lost. So many friendships destroyed. Great times! They got too greedy though, and I was not favored by the RNG gods.

Its like who cares what jeff caplin thinks. I care about what I can play and he'll probably never make anything I give a f about again. Its like great you got out of an oppressive company but now your life is inconsequential to me. I care about what you think when you actively develop a game I play not when you don't lol. They were working on some wildstar ripoff if I remember but tbh I hate the whole wildstar fortnite ascetic. I don't care for playing a kid game mmo. I think rockstar got the same issue and why they reboot it. These pro developers don't even understand what the market actually wants. Put out a good game this decade and I may care for your opinion again.

Its like if you don't play the endgame and dont try to be apart of the actual community then your just a tourist anywhere you go.

So far Archeage Chronicles is super disappointing to me, played a ton of og archeage. Equipment you loot has no visual changes, meaning they are going to cash shop the shit out of any kind of player appearances, gender locked classes, and very little that resembles what made og archeage so special…. really sad.

Not so much here for any WoW content (been there, done that) but like these weekly News videos, or like the last two with Heathan and 1.0 Ensh – really appreciated the none wow addiction Videos! Tho I can see that when the vibes hit, it's hard to not just be in ur own comfort zone and having to leave it. So thanks for the Content!
I guess Runescape's playerbase isn't as big as WOW's and cannot carry the split like the bazillion WOW versions do. Also away for "1 week" SURE :p

never played or even seen archeage. the old one looks 10000x better from this videos clips. new one is a failure before it even starts, i can tell.
Original archeage without the p2w feels like the mmo most deserving of a remaster
i enjoyed archage gameplay made me remember vindictus to some degree but the color of the game is too much idk if the demo i played is final version or not but the color and light is just bad super bad UE5 is hit or miss lately some game work like ass and some work super good i kinda feel it is difference of dev experience…

Skip RS3 all together and join OSRS. The new content is fantastic and theres still so much more to come before 2027!

ArcheAge Chronicles is AA in name only. It's otherwise a weak action combat New World knock off. You can personally be disappointed by the demo this week.
