Cd projekt red needs to take a look at the name of their studio. "CD". Publish a digital only game and you break your own names premise.
Xbox may of dun physical to digital but digital is still not player ownership only the physical

excuse me but is Sony retarded? years ago when music was distributed on CDs, the licence to the music itself belonged to the artist, but the CD belonged to the person who bought it and they could do whatever they wanted with it with the sole exception of selling the music itself (which was impossible), how are games different? They are just a bunch of .pck files on the disc/drive or wherever. Licence should still belong to the company who made the game, but the physical media that holds the data does NOT, never did and never will. Because if it did, that would imply that Rick Astley could literally go to your home and retrieve back the beloved CD you have since you were a kid. NO!. He'd be put into jail for that as that's theft. These guys are dancing on a very thing legal ice and when it finally breaks, they will be glad they own anything at all. I predict that once this bs gets resolved legally, artists and developers get legal rights to own licences and customers get legal rights to own media (digital OR physical). Publishers and distribution platforms will get legal rights to go F themselves. They'd be glad when governments allow them to take a cut from the purchase. Let them do their thing, they are literally digging their own graves.

PSN needs to be hacked to show the regular gamer that their ownership is being threatened via a message upon PS startup so that more people finally receive the understanding of what's going on. When that happens, I will grab popcorn while watching the entire Sony strategy crumble as PS is being eaten alive by the largest angry mob that has ever existed in the history of this planet.

It’s crazy how we own our physical disc games on PS1-PS4 but not PS5. I can turn on those systems and play those games offline with no issues. Is Sony going to say I don’t own those games either?

To my younger gamers, do not let up on Sony. Do not. The slightest moment thet see you waiver they will be right back to corporate greed. Keep those plus memberships canceled. The only way that Microsoft's next-gen console is going to be 100% physical, is if they switch from optical discs to cartridges, or if every game is 2 or more 4 layer 128gb Blu-ray discs. Problem is that real world experience shows that four-layer 128 gig Blu-ray discs suffer from disc rot at an exponentially faster rate than single layer discs.
