  1. Reminds me of in middle school I wanted to buy the one fnaf novel, and my parents thought it was a comic book so they weren't gonna let me get it until I showed them it was just words lmao. Still can't believe they had those at the book fair

  2. Oh my god I REMEMBER BUYING THIS GAME FROM SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR. It ran like, once, and then my computer refused to ever run it again. I think it knew how terrible it was and just, gave up.

  3. What’s up Ted I’m making this comment while I’m inside my dryer stuck. I would just get those plastic little rings. From the book fair They’re like five bucks and eat them. lol😅😂🤣

  4. The only “fun” things I would get from the bookfair would be a funky eraser or bookmark cause I felt guilty “wasting” my money by not getting a book

  5. Holy s*** you just opened a can of worms, a mind Palace, something I haven't thought about in ages I had this game! I really thought I was going to make some really cool video games, and share it with my friends, I quickly found out that it wasn't like that at all 🤣

  6. Nah so when my best friend's kiddos were a bit younger, I was a member of the PTA for them and I worked a few Scholastic bookfairs, and I gotta tell ya Ned…. STILL MAGICAL AF

  7. One of the most vibrant memories of the Scholastic book fair for me is getting the little pamphlet/magazine thing like 3 days before so you could see what was there AND what you could order if you wanted

And there was the magnum opus that was “THE OREGON TRAIL” a fully animated and voice acted version of the titular historical epic.

  8. As a fellow Theo who got this game back at the Schoolastic Book Fair, how did you get around the license key? I tried to replay this forever ago but couldn’t get past that since the company is dead and the server to register is down.

  9. I didn't like the scholastic book fair because it meant you HAD to read a book that was long enough AND go onto the computer in the library to answer a quiz about the book to prove you read it. People wonder why I don't like reading as an adult, y'all made it a homework assignment when i didn't even know what I liked yet.

  10. do i REMEMBER? the SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR??? does the earth spin? does the sun rise and set every day? is the sky blue, is the ocean deep? did limewire absolutely fry our mid-2000s family computer? yes, Ted, i remember the scholastic book fair.
