I love how eastern devs take their mythology and history and make dope games time and time again. Give us more saloon style western games. or a game about indians, the great depression, mobsters, hell they want activism, give us a game where we play as the black panthers fighting against some alien forces that are causing the racism or shit. idk man "jrpg" the story line and give us cool alternate realities.
Yes i know all of these games have been made in the past in one way or another. but still, the east milks their mythology and its clean almost every time. Hell, Even people like Hideo Kojima love western flicks and whatnot. Give me more over the top westerns where im just Mcree from ow mixed with vincent from ff7 and i just aura farm my way through the old country lmao. A yakuza style game but with some cowboy syndicates instead? A game where the indian tribal mythology is over the top and heavily exaggerated could be cool.
Im just yapping at this point but the point is there is so much culture and history to tap into for cool stories and games. We dont even need historical accuracy. Just make a good game.

It's like they're forgetting that Nintendo and Sega saved the video game industry in 1985/1986 from Atari after they caused the first crash in 1983 and let's not forget both of them were "outsiders" and they dominated from 1985 all the way up to 2004 then Western studios started to dominate in 2005 all the way up to 2014 then we get a little bit of a back and forth between Western and Eastern games from 2015 to 2019 then we get to 2020 up until now Eastern games are now dominating yet again except this time instead of just Japan we got Korea and China now a complete triple threat hell we could probably even include Russia into the mix especially Mundfish with the Atomic series

Either give a third option to be selfish and run away from the town or do a jump cut to our character after the traumatic event to reflect on their choices or see how they are dealing with it

Thanks for mentioning Crimons Desert multiple times. I guess, I'm an outsider now, because it's the game I played most this year. I'd rather be an outsider, then a western loser. I think, if GTA VI is winning the Game Awards, it's clear that there is something wrong. If I understand correctly, the game comes out 2 days before the deadline? Who would know how that game is, other then a bunch of journalists? Oh yeah, the journalists who have 90% of the voting power against 10% of the playerbase.
Western developers may make whatever claims they wish if it helps them sleep at night, but ultimately, only the number of copies sold and the revenue generated matter.

Maybe next year they are releasing a physical edition. What kind of bs is that? Why not now? I am NOT BUYING this game. Despite it being clearly a fun game, I refuse to sponsor the Playstation store until I no longer have any other option. Then I'll upgrade the old pc and dump my ps1-5. But before then,I am not buying digital. 😢

Love the game. I am in the forth zone, 20h in honestly it feels like fresh take on action games.. the combat is so different.

GOTY means nothing anymore. People who know who the best ones are based on sales. Titles are meaningless.
While this game might be good, I won't buy it… Yet. Looks like all 4 million copies sold were 100% digital. As the physical game won't be released until 2027. Kind of a slimy move.

the budget they built this game on is in my opinion the biggest insult to the AAA. 40 million for this compared to Sony first parties having 200 million plus for the budget and offering games that are much smaller in content. This cost 20 percent of the standard AAA budget (BG3 even was 100 plus million if i remember correct)
