Hey if they can get the backing, have Bioware break out and form a new studio and buy the IP. So long as they have the money behind them.
According to what i have heard the game would've taken place 600+ years after ME3 in the milkyway.. with possible contact with Andromeda.. but what i heard could also be wrong.

I dont understand this constant obsession with making your own character. That means no backstory, no VA. You'd play a generic puppet with whatever hairstyle option was the most similar to your own. Most of the time you'd be wearing a helmet anyway so what would even be the measurable improvement?
I don't need another ME, original trilogy was perfect and still playable.
Not recognising Liara Joe… that's pretty bad man. Trailer looked like any other CGI fest. Not slop, just very average. Like others say in the comments, EA should sell the licence, make some money for their debt and let another software house give it a go…
BioWare needed a bounce back arc, they were capable of great things, but I guess EA simply had enough with the awful turbo left wing games

the trailer taught me the dude gets away by being lucky during fire fights… maybe it was cancelled due to poor character writing..
I still play the trilogy, Legendary Edition now. I still love it, my wife still loves it, I still find new stuff in it so often I wonder if I'll ever see everything. This is such a shame, I hope it can be picked up and finished. I did not at all like Andromeda, however. I like the story ideas list there, though the destroy ending does get tricky for the Geth and EDI. But, it's possible, why not? I actually can find ways to bring Shepard back, if they went that way, and with any of the endings. A bit space magic, but hey…that's sci-fi. But I think it's all plausible.

As much as the trailer looks nice I don't really care it got cancelled because it would probably be shit like all the other bioware games in last 10 years
IO interactive might be a good studio to make Mass Effect or even motive studios

Asmongold ruined Angry Joe, Joe hates him because Asmongold isn't a delicious hamburger Joe could eat.
They should have been closed after Anthem. They already showed with Andromeda that they where mismanaged and could not work as a team and did not learn from their mistakes with Anthem. They repeated to be hardly mismanaged with Anthem following gaming trends more than their own vision.

The writing would have been trash just like Dragon Age.
It had no gameplay and obviously Bioware's track record had fallen off a cliff…..but I can't deny this and the details that came out about it would've had me super interested. Shame.
Corporate Commander should really replay Veilguard, I have a feeling he might like it with his newfound perspective.

Good chance EA sells the ME IP off to someone else. The internal memo from the EA execs made it clear they're going all in on live service sport/competitive games, while fewer single player games will be worked on. And if they do resurrect ME… it'll probably be live service as well.
