I’ve Never Said This In Public, But…

Blizzard promised no sacrifices to quality. Then 12.1.5 shipped with a broken Labyrinth and bugs players had already reported on the PTR. From another round of emergency hotfixes to the deeper problems with gearing, balance and the eight-week patch cycle, it’s time to ask why WoW’s leadership keeps making promises the game doesn’t deliver on.

  1. This sounds like symptoms of AI development. You put the agents to fix bunch of small bugs and let them roam free fixing huge amount of code. Nobody cares to review or understand half of the changes and this is the result. They don't need to test the changes as players work as testers for them feeding tickets to the AI wheel that tries to fix the problems again. The fixes will be sufficient eventually but at the cost of players.

  2. This was inevitable when WoW became a seasonal game in legion.

Progression doesn't exist for any decent period of time and everything is rushed. Class tuning and design is perpetually missing the mark.

  3. blizz aint giving a shit about retail with their new cash cow – wow forever – about to be released lmao. they aren't satisfied with just your monthly subscription on top of buying every new expansion and all the cosmetics in the shop, they want more and more and more of your cash. today, its "only" a new race for 29.99$, next thing you know, the game becomes pay-to-win. but hey, you don't need additional subscription! yall be paying for the absolute shittiest minimum, and you keep letting blizzard get away with it.

  4. this is basically what you get when you have code build completely by AI and not checked correctly by the devs … some of the devs prolly don't even understand the half of the code that AI added there. Yes was bad before but now is outrageous. But you know it is not like we pay for this you know :S

  5. I couldn't be bothered to waste my time in Kindo'jan because of all the bug reports. I'm not wasting my life on someone else's mistakes. Even for a Title.

  6. I think it's important that WoW players are honest with themselves when it comes to this kind of internal reflection. The reality is that most WoW players are willing to stomach some truly abysmal content and stories because they don't know anything else. Midnight appears to be atrocious, and it could probably be even worse – and it wouldn't shock me if it barely made a dent in the overall sub numbers. Shadowlands should have killed this game but it didn't, and as far as I'm concerned that means it's too big to fail.

  7. i'm disapppointed in you. a whole video that wants to say ion hazzikostas should be fired but never has the courage to committ to "saying this in public", and ends up just becoming 20 minutes of toothless faliling frustration. you clearly wanted to say you thought he or other leaders had to be let go, and you should have.

  8. I was on break from wow
Then decided to try out midnight I bought the game and couple months of game time I leveled to max level had to complete campaign to get access to a specific area forgot what was it exactly but the campaign was bugged cause I abandoned it by accident and the npc never gave the quest again opened 4 tickets all they did every time is asked me to report the bug ,
waited for 2 weeks for it to get fixed it never happened and I just quit again
It was kinda pure scam that I couldn’t progress like other players while I just paid for the full game and game time and they didn’t give a F about it still furious about it.

  9. I hate to say it, but I'm genuinely getting similar feelings to when I quit in Shadowlands. They just can't seem to help themselves, sure in SL it was a refusal to listen and pumping out horrible chores as content, but is it so different in sentiment from the slop we get now? They say they listen to us and "will do better" but then continue shipping bugs and boredom. I just don't feel excited for Retail any more. The story is being handled so poorly and these "features" are so boring and recycled, I barely even play besides raiding at this point, and even that is getting boring, this tier was the worse in quite a while imo.
