Pour one out for this wasted potential of the Pokemon game.
For almost 6 years, TiMi, Tencent & The Pokemon Company had so many chances to turn the concept of a Pokemon MOBA into a big hit.
& yet, they kept fumbling so hard with countless bad and greedy choices they've made.
I wish I could be sad for the game but I'm not…I'm only sad for what's left of content creators, fans, casters & pro gamers affected by the EoS.

I had a lot of fun with Pokemon Unite but it feels like every single decision made surrounding the game was intentionally made to tank the game's success. I hope everyone that stuck with the game til the end is able to find something to replace it with.
It's sad that this game will be shut down, but it was so poorly executed. A Pokemon MOBA has huge potential to become one of the most played games ever, but a bunch of bad decisions ruined it
This is heart breaking. I’ve been playing since day one. I would enjoy the game when I would get a chance to casually play. I didn’t spend too much money on it, maybe a total of $60 for all those years, probably why they are closing. It also is sad as my two kids are finally of age where they understand this game and started their accounts earlier this year when the legendary bird were released. I’ve enjoyed playing with them but now that’s gone. I guess I’ll try to play it with them as much as I can before closing in March. Spragels, thank you for your content, much appreciated. It was fun while it lasted.

I played day onr when the gane dropped I loved the game and I still do but tbh we all knew it was cooked. I genuinely knew after the anniversary the game was getting shut down they where being too nice giving so much away for free , I never bought a battle pass but I bought pokemon, but once they got rid of coins I completely just never paid for anything again ik it was a waste of money, it hurts because we all know once this game dies we will NOT get another moba unite guys….I'm torn I'm so fucking torn.

Since MOBAs are still the most viewed gaming category on twitch, indicating extreme popularity, I would be absolutely shocked if TPC doesn't make a new MOBA game down the road. My hot take is that they'll gonna try making a Pokémon MOBA with Gacha banners where you pull your characters. Gacha games are making THE money rn and I think this won't have gotten past TPC (objectively its the best way to make money of a service game), so they'll try this not understanding that it won't work neither, so after some years it's going EOS too. After that tho enough time will have passed that the guys currently in charge will have gone in to pension and new people will take over and they'll just make literal LOL but with Pokémon which then obviously is going to be a huge success 😂
HOK is unbelievably successful despite not really having a usp, its just that people literally want to play something different than LOL at this point

Man, the old days of playing with 4 other friends and bullying kids was truly peak. May never actually get another experience like that again.
I quit unite months ago and it sucks too see a game like this fumble so hard. I believe it was a good game can even be a great game but they threw so hard. I’m very disappointed a game like this fell off, just like other Pokemon games they had potential but just shut down.
This makes the fourth game since 2021 that has been EoS termed. Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, Dissidia Opera Omnia, Pokemon Unite, and Dragonball: Gekishin Squadra… I'm about to be very bored

Some of us were upset about each other, we were thankful for each other and we enjoyed the time together, even though we don't know each other.
The last few months of this games lifetime sould be enjoyed by all of us. Let's have a lot of good matches together. We're all in the same boat and we will have fun on our last cruise.

Despite being a diehard Pokémon fan of 20 years and a moba enjoyer, I could never get into unite. Between the clunky UI, mobile game monetisation and the fact that I could never be sure whether I was playing against other humans or bots, I could never quite fully appreciate the otherwise fun gameplay.
That said, it's really sad to see it go like this. My sympathy goes out to those of us who were diehard fans, losing a game we enjoy really sucks. It really does boggle the mind how the biggest franchise in the world could fumble something like a moba.

After my arm and wrist had an injury, I had to quit PC gaming (and Overwatch), and this was the game that I picked up to fill that void and it's been there for me for years as a lovely, fun, casual experience. Knew this was coming, but damn it really sucks.
It is truly sad to hear the official news that Unite will not exist anymore. For the last five years, this game has been a daily part of my life, as a Pokémon fan, I have always loved it. Unfortunately, certain decision-making led to this tragic end, but I will never forget the good times I had playing it—after all, nothing in life lasts forever.

They should have just balanced characters instead of changing the unlock system. Lol, i quit playing last year after the change to ranked progression. Their refusal to do any kind of balancing to champs was just unbelievable. I was one of the top ranked Cinderace players too, never spent a dime to upgrade my items. I'm glad it's dying. I repeat, I glad it's dying. Should have died sooner, greedy bastards.

This is utterly heartbreaking. I've played this game since it's release and have dumped so many hours and money into it. It's a game I always come back to. I know they didn't monetize well but this is so disappointing.
Losing a game due to increasingly bad overhead decisions is the worst. Appreciate the time and good vibes you spent on Unite Jake! I played through the Zacian launch and started jungle invading because of your videos way back when XD I hope Pocket takes off ✨️
