I definitely don’t like sbmm but besides that factor I actually enjoy the game. Definitely isn’t as fun as old cods with the matchmaking the way it is but still find enjoyment.

(I'll keep commenting that in every modern COD related video until they stop regarding data and start regarding actual player feedback and criticism.)
I’m almost certain now that activision will be letting a lot of infinity ward go. In their eyes they’ve made 1 fully successful game in the last 14-15 years. Ghosts did good sales but was hated by the community and had people going back to black ops 2, Infinite warfare flopped sales and player retention wise (IW is a good game imo but still), MW19 sold really well and had good player numbers due to warzone and the covid lockdowns but that’s been their only success so far. MW2 sold well but was again hated by most of the community even the players that like mw19 and now here we are with MW4 and 90% of anyone you see talking about it online hates the multiplayer
SBMM is never going to go away. They cranked it up and made everyone hate it more. They will lower it so it feels better and call it "Open" to make everyone happy. And that influx of players playing a relaxed SBMM is what they will use to support their "DaTa" that SBMM increases their player count and use it as evidence to keep it.
I refuse to pay $80 for the same BS we’ve been dealing with for the last 4 years. I stopped playing COD in 2025. I’m not giving them any more of my time. I’d give them $5 for MW4 which is basically a shitty DLC pack.

People keep buying and keep playing. Until that stops, SBMM wont go away. It sucks because SBMM is such garbage. If you want a super sweaty, highly competitive match, play ranked. Growing up, games had ranked and they had unranked. Now COD has SBMM so every match is like im playing in a paid tournament. If i do better or get better, so do my opponents. Makes it borderline impossible to have fun and mess around with bad perks and weapons. I want connection based, random matchmaking. I want some sweaty lobbies, i want some bot lobbies. I dont want every match to be like a navy seal tryout.
Nero the rug pulls have put me off the franchise as much as the SBMM ! The fact they can flick a switch without any consequences to them gives me no desire to ever play COD again , hurts me to truly say that but Ive dug my heels in from the squid game update back in black ops 6 think that was in February a few months after release, and I haven’t played the franchise since , and I’ve played the shit out of them all from 2007
If companies don’t collectively work together to make something good while making profits and keeping pricing low as possible every corp will slowly dry out with layoffs until theirs no humans, that’s what they want anyway

Call of duty should’ve taken the year off and not been so tone deaf when it comes to sbmm. They add an open matchmaking, then take it away randomly. Too much bullshit
Watched the campaign before I bought the game, which looked and was played amazingly!
Bought game to play with friend.
Played 71 minutes.
Played 4 games of Shipment and could not play enjoyably.
Played 2 games on core maps and could not play enjoyably.
Refunded game.
Maybe user error, but 6 games in a row? Nah, I had more fun running around with a combat knife against snipers than actually playing the game
