“Bring the player, not the class” means No hybrid tax in raids— UNLESS there is meaningful reason to use those abilities in the raid (ie: it benefits the dps rotation to throw a rejuv every few seconds, or something)
Here is my take on Sodapoppin :
It is incredibly hypocritical of you to lash out at Asmongold and the Olympus guild in WoW Forever, because looking at your own track record, this sudden moral outrage feels a lot like pure jealousy over someone else successfully running a massive community. You are quick to label his members an obnoxious plague due to their chat spam and toxic behavior, yet you conveniently forget the absolute wreckage your own mega-guild, OnlyFangs, caused for the average World of Warcraft player. When you were pulling the strings, the community constantly suffered from severe server congestion, rampant toxicity, and massive economic inflation directly driven by your massive following. Let’s not forget that you personally damaged the game's integrity by illegally buying gold through Real Money Trading, forcing Blizzard to wipe your account live on stream while everyday players were getting permanently banned for the exact same offense. For you to put on a righteous act and judge others for poisoning the chat is completely absurd when you yourself were slapped with a 14-day Twitch ban in April 2022 for creating an offensive, racist blackface caricature live on stream. You disrupted the server economies, ruined the gameplay experience for ordinary subscribers, and violated Blizzard's terms of service for your own benefit, so trying to tear down Asmongold now just looks like a desperate attempt to deflect from your own messy past and mask your bitterness over losing the spotlight.
Regarding hybrid tax: Make it small but make the classes have so essential support potential through buffs etc that the tax will be nullified by the utility and buffs you bring to the party/raid.

I had NO idea who this kid was until a couple days ago. Watched his stream for about 2 min- WAY to much soy…NOW I find out who he is and his non-stop crying about Asmongold. Yup…WOKE.
Forever is suposed to be a long term Vanilla/Classic like game. The current decisions show clearly that, for now, the devs want it more to focus on Roleplay elements. MinMaxer in Classic are the vast but extremly loud minority and the game SHOULD NOT be catered to them. That said, does a class need help design wise it should be addresed. But the devs should ignore all suggestion that have certain buzzwords.
its so funny how we can complain that this or that class is underpowered/overpowered. WHen u guys begin playing WoW did u care and did research and stuff went to libary etc to read who did most dps and stuff ? just play the fkn class and faction u want…. i think soda should stfu in stream abt op or up classes, its the streamers that ruining every game, cause lets face it the devs is listening more on them cause they are big and they have a bigger voice then all we other that is just playing the game. I really hope the devs is not listening to much on these fkn streamers cause if not streamers is gonna ruin another game….

Even if the complaints are legit this dude is perma-pissed at life lol always critiquing, anxious, defensive. I just get the vibe that he’s never truly enjoying or having a good time playing the game… which should be the whole point. Everything is seen through the lens of super optimized (which always falls short), min-maxing, all that matters is end game content / performance not the journey, WoW should be played THIS WAY! Not sure how you arw shitting on druids so bad. I made a druid as my second class I sent him some spell power pots and nature damage gear and I was blasting my way through the zones, as I added more sp gear and balance talents I became stronger and stronger.
I've got decent gear now on level 20 (90 spell power) and my wraths melt every mob level 22/23 no problem with no mana issues at all. I havent tried any of the other specs but balance is gold so far.
Took on a hunter in pvp level 20 with 1.1k hp and destroyed him just face to face blasting.
Als my dps in dungeons is between 50 and 60 which I believe is a pretty good number as of now?

I think the hybrid tax thing is misunderstood a bit. Even if the hybrids were balanced to do the same single target DPS as non-hybrid, they are already taxed in other ways. Feral DPS has no AoE. Enhancement has weak AoE, no hard CC, and gets kited. Ret has weak AoE, no soft CC, and gets kited. Just a few examples. All classes have certain strengths and weaknesses, because they can do one thing, they can't do another. Warriors have sunder armor which is the single highest DPS increasing debuff you can bring to a raid (other than IEA on rogue but no one played that in classic and uptime is a problem with it). Hybrids being able to heal themselves was already accounted for in their kit. Them doing terrible damage in vanilla was the result of the talent trees being literally unfinished on release and blizzard was already working on TBC and didn't want to spend enough resources to fix every spec in vanilla, it was not an intentional game design decision. Hybrid tax is a confabulation, all classes are "taxed" in the sense that when they are given a tool, it's weighted with the rest of their kit so that they don't have an answer to everything.
Druid is pretty weak. Wrath is still ass even with the buff. It takes 8 casts to kill a same lvl mob lol it’s rough. Then you get bear form at lvl 10 and it’s unusable till lvl 16 lol feels bad. It’s pretty bad when wrath is ass, then you get bear form and can’t even kill a lvl 8 mob at lvl 10. Needs some work before launch.
Leveling as holy priest is significantly faster than anything druid.
I love how no one can see they dropped this to silence aion 2 and gw 3 realease 😀 when that passes, forver's gonna become a 60lvl retail 😀

balance lvl'ing in SoD was pretty fun (grated you had to go cheese an arly rune before they jsut gave them all at the start zone)
but Forever is just…..ehhh like they tested all the cool shit in SoD…..and then did none of it

If you do everything you can on druid atm. a hunter out dps you with just auto attacks.
The question isn't should everything be "good" at the same shit it's every class should have a purpose and be good at different shit. That will cause imbalance while leveling but so what, compensate with proper itemized gear dropping at lower levels.
Druid levelling in classic was bad the first 20 levels. Wrath just costed a lot of mana for what it did. Im waiting to see where Forever takes it
fuck hybrid tax. Strengths should come from the spec chosen. A ret pally should do insane damage at the cost of gutting their healing or self healing while in that spec. Feral druids should do insane damage at the cost of shit heals. hybrid this, hybrid that, while playing feral, I am NOT healing. Why should my DPS suffer a tax because I can swap to an off spec while out of combat and equipped gear for that spec that I farmed. Makes 0 sense. Anyone advocating otherwise is just an elite purist meta slave
TL:DR the environment team is killing it, the teams that make new models for armor/weapons and mobs…..not so much, it's just retail items.

As a long term feral player:
-weapon scaling off weapon is good, feels rewarding to upgrade, but why the hell can we get disarmed now?
-your gameplay 10-20 is literally just autoattacking with occasional maul or swipe for a little bit more damage, your main damage source is thorns and white damage lol
-i found myself casting root + moonfire just to squeeze more damage out
How to fix
Give cat form at 15 (no it wouldnt be overpowered, you still would take tons of damage and cant take 2 mobs at same time really, but at least you get to move faster)
move mangle (now primal bite) to baseline at level 13 or some shit, and bring back the bleed debuff.
Also rake applying movement speed debuff so we could multidot and kite multiple mobs while energy is recovering, for cats.
At least soda is talking about things he cares about.
I sorta am taking a break from wow content cuz it feels like there's so many people who's just uploading videos cuz they 'wanna upload something' and it shows.
