  1. Hey flats can you ban me please? I’ve been hitting not interested in your content ever since the game came out. And nothing seems to work. Please and thank you

  2. The rivals community has NO idea how good we had it to have a dev team that communicates. You can probably count on one hand how many good devs actually communicate thoroughly with their community
And then people go and call them racist over a skin…
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you

  3. blaming Disney for this is like blaming Australia for high gas prices. Even if Disney was like "hey, can you do a MCU tie-in" it's still on the DEVS to make it *good*. They completely bungled it.

  4. Bro how does no one see what this guy did. Flats i hope you see this you are the most disappointing creator I ever jumped on the bandwagon for. Your own nuance doesn't include you in your takes. It's clear you were bored with the game and made a game plan to port your fans back to overwatch (which I will admit phenomenal job, your marketing and psyop ability is beyond what I think you are capable of). Even before this season "oh idk about a season with only 1 character" for you to not even partake in this season. You said a lot of doomer shit in that time. Paired with the fact that you are admitting to have had correspondence with the devs throughout the games lifetime. Why do you think they went radio silent on y'all, All you did was complain about them on the Internet while talking to them it like was all sunshine and rainbows. Obviously you would want to keep a relationship with them because it afforded you content. The preseason teasers that you were involved with putting all of the top creators together makes you money. They moved away from you because YOU are unhealthy for this game because of how much power by way of word of mouth that you have. I understand your thinking you want games your passionate about to be at their best everyone does but jumping ship because they stopped talking to you seems real child like tantrum behavior to me. "I don't have a peek behind the curtain no more I'm outta here" type shi. You never loved this game you aren't even a marvel fan. You are a hero shooter fan. Please never come back to rivals with your petty attitude.

  5. Something I wished marvel rivals devs did was do more interviews and in depth showcases, for example another game I love is poe2 and before every new patch, balance or update they either sit down with one of the content creators or host an hour long blog with the co founder just talking about the game, hearing suggestions talking about concerns and talking in dept about the new systems.

Something as simple as that clears up so much stuff and makes the community excited for new things, and they’re not sitting in the dark wondering wth is going on for whole months at a time.

  6. I've already uninstalled and moved on. IT would take a lot to bring me back at this point. I am not playing OW either, just done with this style of game going forward.

  7. It's all about performance for me. I love the game, but it runs so poorly that it's frustrating. My laptop runs Overwatch smooth as butter, but Rivals is a buggy mess of crashes and freezes. In such a high speed game, it's baffling to me that it can be so poorly optimised and I hear no-one talking about it as a major issue.

  8. To be fair, I think the balancing team does the best job that they can, given the fact they are playing against themselves. I believe that the balances would be more meaningful, and accepted, if they had a larger pool of internal data to pull from. It may sound ridiculous, but wouldn't data from 1000 users across a spectrum of all Ranks be more valuable than data from 100 people in the same rank?

  9. I feel like the balance comments are a lie given the same 5 to 7 heroes has been in the top for months now. The same exact characters no matter how much nerfs or buffs.

  10. If he’s an executive producer under Marvel Games, then he operates under the Disney umbrella. Let’s be honest: Marvel Rivals benefits enormously from being a Marvel title. In my opinion, roughly 75–80% of its staying power comes from the strength of the Marvel brand and the appeal of its characters. Without that brand recognition, I think the game would be in a much more difficult position.

Flats has already outlined several major changes the game needs. The developers should take an Overwatch-style approach to improving the overall experience. If they implement the right changes, I genuinely believe they could revive the game’s momentum.

First, introduce sub-roles across the entire cast to create clearer identities and more defined responsibilities within each role. Rework characters who aren’t delivering on their intended gameplay fantasy. Hulk is a perfect example. Characters should feel powerful, distinctive, and satisfying to play, especially when their established identities demand it.

For Hulk specifically, I’d give him a passive inspired by Mr. Fantastic or Black Panther. The more damage he takes or deals, the more damage resistance and bonus damage he builds, up to a defined cap. A gauge could track his progress, similar to Mr. Fantastic’s mechanic, with the bonuses gradually decaying over time. This would reinforce Hulk’s power fantasy while giving opponents meaningful opportunities to counter him.

Second, reconsider the game’s balancing philosophy. Instead of repeatedly nerfing characters, establish a baseline and prioritize incremental buffs where appropriate. Nerfs can sometimes create a double-negative effect: they weaken a character while also making the game less enjoyable for players who invested time in mastering them. Incremental buffs allow developers to improve underperforming characters and then fine-tune those adjustments if necessary. Obviously, nerfs still have a place when a character is genuinely overperforming, but they shouldn’t automatically be the first solution.

Third, fix competitive matchmaking and netcode. Players need to get into matches more consistently, experience fewer connection-related issues, and trust that competitive games are decided by skill rather than technical problems.

Fourth, introduce a carefully designed vote-to-kick system that makes it possible to remove genuine throwers without allowing players to abuse the feature against teammates they simply dislike. It would need safeguards, such as clear voting thresholds and restrictions against repeated or coordinated abuse.

Finally, implement a more effective player-avoidance system. Players should have a reliable way to avoid repeatedly matching with individuals who deliberately throw games or consistently ruin the competitive experience. Appropriate limits and safeguards could prevent the system from being exploited while still giving players some control over their matchmaking experience.

Marvel Rivals doesn’t need to reinvent itself. It needs to refine what already works, address its competitive shortcomings, and make its roster more satisfying to play. The Marvel IP gives this game an enormous advantage, but that advantage shouldn’t become an excuse to neglect the experience itself.

Give players meaningful character identities, smarter balancing, reliable matchmaking, and better competitive safeguards. If the developers commit to those improvements, I believe Marvel Rivals has a real opportunity to regain momentum and build a healthier, more sustainable player base.

  11. all the toxic and sensitive ass people are what’s killing the game, i love the game itself but i can’t do it anymore, every single game damn near is just a mess, no teamwork at all just people who wanna play their favorite character regardless of what needs to be played

  12. The Age of Ultron mode was the only one of the 3 Avengers modes I enjoyed. Overpowered Hulk!!!
Also, I'd like a 180 turn button on controller as well. In a game called "Deep Rock Galactic", you could hold back and click left stick to quickly 180 turn.

  13. we are feeling bad for a company that makes billions? LMAO and all we ask is to listen to the community and communicate? Not to mention lying for months this is insane😭. Marvel didn’t need this event for avengers… it’s going to sell out regardless just from the last one being 2019.

  14. This makes things very clear and obvious to me they have been focusing on the avengers ltm and it’s taken most of their time so the balancing has taken a backseat this is even more clear when you think about how good and well put together the ultron mode was and then the 2v2 infinity war mode same thing it’s great I haven’t played ranked since that mode dropped but now the endgame mode you can tell this was a some sort of back up mode incase the main one couldn’t be completed in time no upgrades no new abilities for the mode just hold primary at a thanos the size of a building that doesn’t track with how the other modes were.

  15. I must have been living under a rock Jubilee is bad? My friends who plays mostly dps(magik) or support(jubilee) made it to eternity mostly with her. I as a tank main also like having a jubilee. Am I missing something? She also poops over Dino comp, I must have missed something.

  16. 1:01:15 I remember one time, in Quick Play, my and 2 friends were goofing around and noticed that some people on the enemy teams were aura farming that day, so, next match, I decided to grab my old ass xbox controller that is missing buttons, plug it into my pc, and to go Banner and do the best and dumbest bit that I've done in a while.

Everyone knows about the slow walking, aura farming Banner, but no one expected the slow walking, aura farming Banner (Who was getting pocketed to high hell) to die, come back as hulk, aura farm again, and then come back one more time, only to Ult and aura farm as monster hulk (Only to get Ulted by Iron Man almost immediately)

We were the attackers on a Hybrid Map, and we only had 1-2 minutes left to cap point after I did the bit (I think it was in Wakanda). but we did manage to cap point and got to the final area. I don't know if we won the match, but I feel like we won in spirit lol. We were laughing our asses off for an hour afterwards.

  17. Why is there a random 7 month old video with almost 0 views that gives almost all the answers about the current state of the game? Like we did actually find a hidden relic😭

  18. I've played rivals everyday since its release but this season sucks. I've just been playing black ops 1&2. Jumped on to play the pve because i was pretty keen for it. I played it once and went back to black ops zombies.

  19. Confirmed. We were right. They do bullshit community appeasing PR patches. They balance purely off winrates with no understanding of the game.

They also mentioned an "elite combat test team", yeah whoever those are? They're definitely not elite. Get people who actually understand the game to test the game. If you're part of the "elite" combat test team early play testing this game, shame on you. You have failed this game and the community.

Its a shame that a team that cares about the game this much does nlt listen to its playerbase, and is incomptent (specifically the PvP, and the balance team. Every other team is one in a million, especially the skin and art team).

  20. Jubilee is one of the best supports in the game and has been the past few seasons. I really enjoy Flats’ content, but it’s clear he doesn’t play the game anymore and doesn’t have any insight into the pulse of the game and the viability of certain heroes.
