Game Boy Classics – October 2026 – Games Update

Three classic Game Boy titles will be released on Game Boy – Nintendo Classics!

Avenging Spirit
This classic action game features a unique gameplay system where you possess and control other characters!

While out on a walk with his girlfriend, the daughter of a prestigious scientist, our hero is gunned down by an evil syndicate. Their goal is to harness ghost energy, and they plan on ransoming the poor girl to force her father into helping them. But our hero’s adventure isn’t over. In fact, it’s just beginning! He’s come back as a ghost so that he can rescue his girlfriend from her kidnappers and finally rest in peace! Who ever said love was easy? Throughout six fun and exciting stages, help reunite the protagonist with his beloved. Watch the moving ending as this hero’s quest for revenge is finally put to rest!

Mole Mania™
Join Muddy Mole in a race to defeat the evil farmer, Jinbe!

Work your way through each puzzle by pushing, pulling, or throwing black balls to defeat or trap enemies. Blast strategic exits and burrow into soft soil to tunnel your way through underground paths to the next action-packed level. Defeat the bosses and solve all of the puzzles in Jinbe Land to reunite Muddy Mole with his beloved wife and kids. In the two-player VS Mode, you’ll play two rounds, one attacking as Muddy and one defending as Jinbe, to compete based on the number of
cabbages dropped. You’ll dig the fast pace and challenging fun of Mole Mania!

Revenge of the ‘Gator

Revenge of the ‘Gator is a game in which you hit a falling ball with flippers to score points by aiming at targets and shooting the ball through lanes. Play across four main and three bonus stages, where each stage will have its own unique objective to complete. Start with three balls, and work your way up. But if your ball falls all the way down to the Gator Stage, it’ll be the end of that turn. Lose all of the balls, and it’s game over! Play solo in Gator 1Player mode, and try for a spot in the top five highest scores! You can also play with a friend in Gator 2Players or Match Play mode!

  1. Is it here in this video where I go like in the Papa Roach videos saying "I remember I had Mole Mania, I lost it in a car in 98 when it broke down in the middle of the desert and we had to rush to leave and I forgot all my cartridges in the back of the seat, I never beat the game and I always think about it"?

  2. Amazing additions to the lineup – but how are we almost a decade into the Switch Game Boy catalog and FINALLY JUST getting first party Nintendo classics like Mole Mania and Revenge of Gator

  3. I still have the original Revenge Of The Gator stuck in my GameBoy Color. It's right here next to me in my cupboard. 🙂
Can't wait to play this on a bigger screen.

  4. Galactic Pinball and now Revenge of the ’Gator🐊🙏🏽🥹 leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet's gooooooooooooooooo!!!!🫡🫡🫡🫡 This is the peak year of nintendo pinball masterpieces🫡

Honestly, these are, quite literally, the best pinball games ever. Now, alongside Pinball for the NES and Sonic Spinball, Switch Online features the best video pinball games in the genre. They are doing an excellent job, and I can already imagine other Nintendo pinball gems 🥹titles that innovated the genre to an unimaginable degree and are still yet to arrive on the service. Being able to play these great classics in 2026 is a source of immense joy for a video pinball fan. Finally, 2-player online pinball 66 hiki no wani daikoushin 🐊😎 and galactic pinball with the two models is pinball absolute cinema🙌🏽🥹🥹😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹🥹🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🖤👽🫡🐊

  5. I know the star attraction here is probably Mole Mania, since Miyamoto did work on that game, but I've gotta give a shout to Revenge Of The Gator, a game that was developed by HAL Laboratory! Several sound effects from this title would later be used in Kirby's Pinball Land, so the fact that this game came to Nintendo Classics first is… kinda fitting.

Hopefully the remaining Kirby titles that haven't been added to Nintendo Classics yet will get their chance next year for the 35th Anniversary.
