I honestly think the game is good but it's not very different from NHL 26 and if you compare the game with like NHL 14 not many features has been added. It's probably more worth it for a consumer to buy the game every other year because $100 is way to much for what the game offers.
The game is awful!!! The movements are terrible, the faces are unreckognizeable.. spit in the face of all fans and gamers!!!

Having played quite a few games so far, in both connected franchise mode and HUT, the gameplay is really good right now. Now that will completely change for HUT as the overalls of players rise but in CFM it will remain as is with a few patch updates/fixes. If EA actually gets CFM to be on par with their single player franchise mode at some point, it will be pretty damn awesome.

Bought a PS5 to play GTA6, thinking addind NHL after 6 year not playing. Looking at all the videos out already, cinematic a trash, gameplay feels cheap. 100$ more for that ? No way. Looks like shit…

First club EASHL game of NHL 27 – 1st goal against AI skated the puck into his own net. Shortly after, puck gets dumped in zone & the AI goalie gets the puck, skates to the hash marks (no pressure coming from opposing team) and shoots the puck into the crowd resulting in a penalty.
I would get this game if there was an option for cpu teams on gm connect

NHL used to be hands down the best EA sports game out there when I was growing up. They’ve made it so ridiculously difficult to score or do anything where every game even in just single player is a chore to play. The flow of games is so unrealistic it’s like they just want you to play online mode and put no effort into them anymore. Setting up plays and scoring chances is almost pointless because it changes nothing and it’s like the computer just randomly decides the outcome of the game before you even play it. The old GM modes back in the day I was setting ticket prices and concession prices and decorating my GMs office after winning seasons and you actually wanted to spend a bunch of time playing single player because what you did felt like it mattered. Now EA sports has went from being a powerhouse to a lazy company that just wants your money for ultimate team and opening packs of cards. Every game the last 10 years has been a patch or just recycled features they’ve taken away years ago. Never anything new or groundbreaking they do anymore

Why do other sports games players look way better and move more realistically, while NHL’s graphics and player models are still from 15 years ago. No fluid movement, choppy turning and blocky players still in 2026? What is going on. All they’ve updated visually are the players faces.
