  1. No one ever said that you couldn’t criticize an early access, but there is a reason why we’re not too harsh on games like this. An early access is obviously an early version of the game, and the way that people should address criticism to games like this is to still have respect for the game in its early state, but let them know the flaws of a video game so they can learn from it, and fix it in later updates. And I’m not even a big fan of this game in its current state, it’s around the same quality as Poppy Chapter 4 (A little bit better). Also is it me, or is Astral Spiff just being a huge asshole to Mob? Like it sounds like he is having a bad day or smth but I know him well, and he’s a fan of the Poppy series, and he’s also in the Partners in Crime program. The way he is talking about this game is like if told someone about your best friend who made a mistake and just straight up talk shit about them, like Astral Spiff literally just stabbed Mob in the back wtf.

  2. Trying to say judging a game for being bad in early access is “wrong” or “unfair” is honestly just an excuse for people scared to be criticized. One of the main reasons you would even put a game into early access is to gauge is people will like the the game, and either change some things or just move on to another project if it’s genuinely a lost cause. Criticism is deeply built into the idea of early access, so using early access as an excuse is stupid

  3. I’m just sad that boxy is dead cause he was the only monster design I thought actually was good and with project gone and all faith lost because of the “last” chapter I’m just left with a bit of sadness at another horror monster that was genuinely fun and creative being abandoned like an after thought

  4. …Do I need to remind you all that the folks who made this also make Animated Minecraft Content Farm Slop on Youtube for a living? Or how early on they tried to scam people out of their money with NFT Exclusive bullshit utilizing this game? Ya'll really need to learn to take Mark's path and refuse to support Mob Entertainment further, because this is a repeated pattern of behavior that is clearly not going to change anytime soon. Just give up.

  5. I was sooo tired of the toxic positivity and cope for this sad excuse of a game, glad atleast someone has genuine criticism. The game could be decent, but most likely it’s gonna die twice as fast as the actual potential game, project playtime.

  6. I think they made a big mistake replacing Project Playtime with this. The cosmetics, gameplay, replayability all were better in project, this game not only costs money, but is literally just collecting things over and over again while avoiding Miss Delight every once in a while. This game could be slightly scarier but that's about it. Project Playtime was so good and I literally still found people playing it yesterday when I played a few games, this game is going to die very quickly I can just tell.

  7. I really like the movement and I see some really strong bones here, but from what I've seen, things scale ridiculously fast in ways that low player teams WILL struggle with. The issue with scaling alongside the small amount of monsters that don't seem to really have answers against you just climbing a high shelf makes for a bit of a boring game admittedly. But the BONES of it I feel have a ton of potential. IF it sells well, or gets some strong early updates, I can see it getting there. Unfortunately, this is the current state it's in, and thus this is the game that will be judged right now.

  8. Man, this fandom has become one of the most complacent. I can't understand why so many people still defend and justify Mob Entertainment. They've lied to them like twice already, saying they'd improve in ch 4 and 5, and nothing. There are even people who justify Mob's CEO, who, I remind you, sent inappropriate things to a minor. What bothers me the most is that I've seen several people treating Isaac Christopherson like the bad guy, when he didn't get involved in any controversy. He always focused on quality, not merchandise. Just look at Feed the Pit and you'll see what I mean. The first three Poppy episodes aren't perfect, but they showed they learned from their mistakes. I dare say that of all the Mascot Horror games, Poppy Playtome, in its first three episodes, was the one that learned the most from its mistakes, even more than FNAF. But ch 4 and 5 simply don't learn much at all; they don't fix the… Puzzles, they say they're going to improve the horror but they never deliver…

  9. I still don’t think there’s ever been a better quota game than Lethal Company. It’s one of my all time favourite games and I’m gutted my friends don’t really want to play it anymore because we’ve beat the highest quota moons… I wis the game still got some occasional updates and new funky mobs, I’d gladly pay for a good update like that.

  10. I had a great time playing this with friends, but we have agreed to not play again till they update a bit, though i will say alot of our enjoyment came from being little plushies running around. I do think this game has potential. Also they need to remove being able to die in the lobby. Or if thry fo leave all the holes you can fall in dont make items in your inventory dissapear. So amny maps accidently lost forever….

  11. These aren't good times to be a Poppy Playtime fan anymore; their latest releases have been one disaster after another. Although, it's not like the other Mascot Horror games are doing much better. FNAF fired its entire QA team, and Bendy's new game is a mess. Interestingly, the most promising one right now is Hello Neighbor, though I'm not sure I can trust them after several broken promises.

  12. I've never understood the "don't be critical because it's in early access" mentality. Firstly, if I'm paying for a product I expect it to at least be alright in its current form – Subnautica 2 is an overall polished experience, so it's worth that price tag despite not being finished. Secondly, the entire POINT of early access is for players to be critical of it. If no one criticizes an early access game, developers have no incentive to fix it, which results in dwindling players, especially if the game is a buggy mess. Obviously I'm not going to throw insults or threaten the devs because a game is buggy, but if we can't even send constructive criticism simply because a game is in early access, then what's even the point of the system existing?
