I think the people that are mad about the matchmaking system are the people who would usually dominate every single match with little to no effort. And cause people to leave because of how much they dominated. Being pitted against people similar to them hurts their ego and as a result they've realised how they're not special or as good at the game as they thought.

DMZ looked good in streams but Joes statement about the loot is exactly why i won´t buy and play it. Boiled down loot just doesn´t work for me in Extraction games. I need to loot bolts, graphic cards, painkillers, medpacks, pliers, fabrics, gold bars, guns, armors, helmets, backpacks and not just "Electronic parts", "Metal parts", "Medical parts".
Next series will be called Call of Duty: Couch Warfare.

The last Call of Duty games I actually purchased were Vanguard and before that WWII. I stopped buying them yearly after WWII the hype had worn off and I was just over Call of Duty as a whole. The ONLY reason I got Vanguard was because my friend wanted me to play the zombies mode with him and we did and I put some good hours in on the zombie mode but that was it. I just can't keep up anymore with the yearly releases. Black Ops 3 was the last one I REALLY enjoyed. Infinite Warfare was meh then WWII was basically the last one I purchased and I barely played it maybe for a month or two. I just rather play other things that hold my interest more.

Loving CoD this year already at prestige 2. Campaign is the best since MW2019. Dmz is good, MP is so fun with the slower pace

The entire Optic team did the race to Master Prestige stream, they had a 1.07 win/loss and a 1.27 KD. A group of some of the greatest Call of Duty pros ever assembled couldn’t pull a 1.5 KD. That’s fucking insane. There isn’t an argument about the SBMM anymore. That is the most blatant evidence of it ever and it’s why the player count and sales are the lowest they have ever been. When GTA VI comes out the player count is going to take a nosedive. It’s going to be a historic moment.

I've been anticipating this review. I liked DMZ mode from MW2 and heard it was back so I've been keeping my eye on this CoD.
The issue with the current skill based matchmaking is it prioritizes player skills over connection, and since there are statistically less sweaty players, there are going to be longer load times.
Personally I don't mind playing people as good or better than me, but I really don't enjoy sitting and waiting a bit longer for matches. Especially when someone leaves mid match and the game won't auto fill. It just kills the momentum that was completely fine with cod back in the day.
