While I haven’t loved a BioWare game like I once did in over a decade, this is still the most emotional I’ve felt over a studio closure. The legacy they leave behind and the impact their games had in all phases of my life cannot be emphasized enough. RIP, BioWare.

Modern BioWare never achieved the highs that Classic BioWare did for me personally. That said, the impact of Classic BioWare is still felt to this day. KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins. They're all games I still go back to and always will. Not everyone is gonna match that same emotional level as me. Thanks for letting me sound off and I'd love to hear from y'all in the comments <3
Shame. The Inquisition was the last decent game that they made though and that was around 2014!!
This is a closure of a studio in name only, Bioware has been dead for 15 years already
Sue the people who hired the activist leads in Veilguard
Sorry for the ENDING of MASS EFFECT but Hang on to APRIL EXODUS is Coming and KOTOR REMAKE is NOT DEAD YET so @MrMattyPlays You get through this one APRIL is COMING!
Bungie is up next
Pretty gutted as well… feels like I’ve been on a rollercoaster with their games my whole life, but I chose to never get off the ride
I can't believe Bioware attacking customers on grounds of race, ethnicity and religion led to this. If only they could have paid out more payola 😔
There's no way you actually believed Biohazard was going to get to put out ME5, after drag age the failguard, anthemn and andromeda?
Nobody is surprised – nobody.
A studio is it's developers, and the developers that made Bioware so legendary have been gone for a very long time.
Essentially nothing from them since 2014/2017 has been a quality product – Anthem was the first warning, and it just got worse from there.
I mourned them a long time ago.
They them did it to themselves…. good riddance. Mass effect 4 would be garbage .
I had my tear moment the second i played Veilguard…It was the moment for me when i said yea, this is it. The saddest part about this is how much of a slam dunk this could have been. Easiest Layup ever to make a new DA, fans was itching for this, and then they dropped Veilguard…
Been dead for a long time
They did this to themselves. I'm sad Mass Effect is gone but let's be real, the next one would have been a disappointment anyway.
Heartbroken is the only thing I can say. Yes the writing was on the wall, but I didn’t give up hope. Hopefully EA will let go of the IPs and someone else can pick up the torch. You mentioned Larian and I definitely wouldn’t be disappointed in that.
I'm in the UK and when I logged off last night I knew this video would be here this morning. As a Dragon Age Fan and Mass Effect player I'm gutted that this studio has been shut down.
It hurts because Mass Effect is such a big part of my life and I have a N7 literally in my car. To lose this studio absolutely hurts…
“I am the very model of a scientist Salarian,
I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian,
I'm quite good at genetics as a subset of biology,
Because I am an expert which I know is a tautology,
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian,
I am the very model of a scientist Salarian!”
The one take away that I can see in this situation ( depression aside and wishing everyone impacted the best) is the fact, This should act as a beacon for the industry. Not to speak on a project unless you're 100% certain it's going to come out. In the past few years alone we've seen The last sentinel, Mass effect, Beyond good and evil, Judas, Blade and falcon fall all flaunt their standing on the videogame stage. Only to disappear, shutter, or degrade over time. Now we just have to see what happens with StarCraft and it's nebulous 2030+ release schedule In order to complete the trifactor of prematurity
This news broke my heart this is my favorite game of all time
Everything you loved was already dead.
Dude… I held out so much hope for a good and new Mass Effect game.
BioWare got way too many chances. No more.
Good, now the zombie studio cant masquerade as the GOAT
Never got into me buti had countless hours in stars wars the old republic, and played some dragon age. Even if they weren't as good as they were sad to see them go.
I really hope Mass Effect can be freed from the shackles of EA and someone else can make the next one and do it justice…. I can only hope
Why we mourning a company that died 10 years ago?
Deserved end. Hopefully dragon age and Mass effect are picked up by a studio interested in making video games instead of pushing real life western politics.
I’ve still yet to play a BioWare game. Could someone recommend one that has held up the best? I love games with a great story, but I’d prefer if the gameplay isn’t too janky
Bioware died like 10 years ago
Wow just found this out now. Seems like another sad day. Well hopefully some of these legacy games are able to be revive in the future.
It died long ago, just like EA.
I’m actually sick to my stomach lol sheesh
