The fact that you can see a HUGE scraps on walls in that hole and now the warning about Collectors triggering here is actually scary

Would be crazy twist that Sea Olives in world we see are small larves that PDA had messed up info, but in void they are giant flying mosqitoes that would hunt down player if they are on sky.
Would be cool concept that Sea Olives are based of mosqitoes
But that's only a theory.
We do know the harp lures both of the collectors away
im pretty sure that door next to the buried trident always worked since the major experimental update came out, if you're in noclip or something it doesnt open though

Already stated by others but the 'call of the void' is your brain conjuring thoughts that would harm yourself or other people. Such as swerving into oncoming traffic, pushing someone in front of a train, or even jumping from high up to feel what it's like.
Harmful invasive thoughts that are shockingly common even if you have nothing wrong with you otherwise.

The Sea Olive’s entry reminds me of SCP-5776, a marshmallow which rewrites descriptions of it so that they make it seem intimidating.
I have a theory that the collector was biologically engineered by the Axum to harvest great jaw leviathans from the farms like a shepherding dogs, with a full life cycle from descenders to collectors, based off the devs saying they’d lost track of an objective and the symbols on the head looking like writing alongside how the collection zone seems deliberately designed for the hoard.

If you want to play a game that has a lot of inverse kinematics, I would suggest Rain World. Plus, it is a game meant to pace you at the bottom of everything.
I think you got the collector thing while down in the hole because they might plan to add the trailer collector there
