And for the console players, you can just plug a controller or Midi controller of any sort and there you go! You can game with it
Lmao “have to upgrade every 2 years” cracked me up
In my nation this is 9k
9K
Vai te fuder Microsoft
Nobody is gonna buy a $1800 console unless PC costs $3000 at least
👎
yeah sony f'd up and now xbox is going the same way 1200-1800.. i spent 500 building a 3050 i7 1tb ssd and 32gb of ram.. a ps5 is equivalent to a 2000 series .. and ive been a pc player for 10+ years.. ill never look back
How much is a set of ram and gpu now?
Idk man, the guy claiming upscaling is free details is not entirely accurate. Most times i feel like it looks worse overall, smudgy and staticy
Ya 1800 is about 1400 to much
There is nothing about the ally thqt is xbox except the word and the logo. Its just a pc
i’ll tell you what I don’t know if my strategy is OK or not but I plan on spending five grand on a custom build playing video games 3-D printing stuff if I’m gonna spend a big money I’m not gonna spend it on a console and I’ve been a console gamer my whole life. Work gameplay on the same machine.
I’m getting unblockable ads. Once that starts I usually quit watching the video outright. I’m about to do the same here.
First off theres no way its gonna be $1800, and theres still gonna be a SIZABLE difference in price between consoles and PCs. Consoles will still be the "cheaper" option even though the price won't be "cheap" and for me I'm just gonna stick to console gaming. Not that I hate pc or anything like that I love gaming on my laptop for modded single player games but I just perfer consoles I always have.
For 1800 dollars you can build a last gen pc with a good x3d cpu and a 40 series geforce and it will outperform the new consoles by miles… these companies are so out of touch honestly.
The second consoles entered the 1000 dollar range I started looking towards a PC. If Im gonna spend that much money on gaming why not go for a system you can update and modernize without having to get something entirely new.
I use my steam deck on the couch way more than my gaming pc back in the office. Being in the living room keeps the wife happy.
You know how you get the market to pay $900-$1,200 for a console? Announce its going to cost $1,800 and then a few months say that you've heard your customers input and reevaluated your price point.
Yeah, gaming industry is heading off a cliff.
It's been this way since hardware companies shifted to AI first.
Economy collapse is likely coming as well. Everything is screwed due to rampant allowed corruption
Man I used my 2080ti for so freaking long and FINALLY upgraded to the 5090 a few months ago….. the PC pays for itself
I have an Xbox Series X, a PS5, and I bought a gaming PC last November. I probably play on the PC 95% of the time now, especially with play anywhere games.
10:22 this is where I’m at. My next console upgrade is going to be a badass PC. I’ve wanted to build one for a long time and I think that time has come. I can have my PC for home and my Switch or whatever other handheld for any of those needs i may have.
Handheld market is amazing right now. The AYN Thor and retroid pocket Nova are top notch. I play at home all the time just chilling in bed or on the couch. Us OG gamers that saw the gameboy created appreciate these things like gold.
My primary, system is handheld. I live in a small space with my wife so sometimes she watching TV or wants to do something in the living room I then go in my bed room or to a park or if im feeling saucey take a bath with my handheld.
Indie market on pc is so vast that you literally don't need to upgrade pc any time in lifetime. Those games have simple graphics… which usually has some art style to it and it is plain better than in ultra realstic games
Issue is with opc is gotta do updates all kinds of stuff vpns casue of hacking like a 10 item check list to start playing for the day
I have 30 minute breaks often at work. I could see myself owning a handheld soon for that reason.
1:33 …that is just a ROG ALLY with an Xbox skin. NOT an Xbox handheld……anyway carry on.
I'm a pc player so it's not make or break for me to buy a new console. I've always bought the newest Playstation to play exclusives like Spiderman and God of War, but I refuse to pay over a thousand dollars for a fuckin console! The pc hardware market is already ridiculously expensive so I can't afford to waste the money on a $1000+ console. The biggest problem is that these companies are deliberately making games that need to run on the latest and greatest hardware to force you to buy the new shit when it comes out
I 1000% blame the scalpers for the price jump. What do you think would happen when stockholders are seeing them as a company sell the system for 500 bucks and scalpers buy them all up and resell them for over a 1000 bucks. I knew eventually they would jack the price up when they know the customer base is willing to pay that much.
The PS6 base model might be a hybrid like the switch.
We honestly have no use for next gen right now, they should just use the time to develop good first party titles that sell their current hardware.
As someone who's been strictly Xbox since the Xbox 360, even though I've always had PCs strong enough for gaming, it seems that my journey with Xbox ends with the Series X console. It's been a great ride, but they're making this next console without people like me in mind. Guess I'll start using my PC for gaming now. Also, I've just never really cared for gaming on PC. I know the frame rate is better, but I just don't care for the hassle of dealing with Cheaters in Multiplayer games. I'll be playing my Series X till it breaks, but eventually I'll have to start using my PC for gaming.
Honestly, if I had a playstation handheld it would get more use by my kids than the actual playstation.
Console gaming is going to die if consoles are no longer affordable. Only the wealthy people are going to be getting them and they make up the smallest margin of gamers. There is 0 chance of these consoles being successful if they are over $6-700 and that is being generous. Consoles should never be above $500 unless they are a pro model or have some extra unnecessary feature that doesn't truly impact gaming. The fact that handhelds are as expensive as they are is insane. Like the switch 2 should no be $500. That is a $300 console at max period. The original switch when it came out should have only been $200. These companies are getting greedy and exploiting the gamers under the guise of the ram shortage. But if the shortage were to end they would never scale back their pricing.
No official price has been given for it it is estimated to he 1200 to 1800. And honestly id rather have this than a pc i have to upgrade in 5 years for a new graphics card for a game that came out at the same time for the helix that WONT need to be updated. Plus im getting older this will he my last console i dont care to have a pc that i WOULD MOST LIKELY keep upgrading
The console is already outdated before you even buy it. The moment it launches it's outdated. PCs do not need to be upgraded thst often.
00:42 why is this guy having an orgasm?
Im definitely not buying a console over $600.00. Game over no next Gen. It will push me to PC.
1800 is ridiculous if it's not a pc. The only way it sells, is if they offer small monthly payment plans. Otherwise they will lose over half their player base who cannot afford a new 1800 expense.
12:26 what a nightmare. Imagine a non gamer parent trying to navigate this when buying it as a Christmas/birthday present for their kid.
"No no no, you bought the GamePass Express option. That only allows you to play the game you bought in offline mode for 30 minutes a week. You need the GamePass Elite Plus edition, NOT the Premium version. The Plus edition is only $80 more a month."
If console is outdated at purchase then how are we spending 400-600 every 7 years with no issues for ps3 ps4 ps5 etc? You need to revisit your definition of outdated
Its still cheaper than a Gaming rig even if the gap isnt as large as it was before, and more importantly for me is that games just work. I got REAL tired of issues with drivers and hardware configs that games didnt like and needing to mess with everything before I could get a game working correctly. I pay for the crap experience of a restrictive walled garden filled with DRM flowers that is a console just to not deal with fixing config issues to play a game.
I have had my Xbox Series X since release and it has played every game released flawlessly. No issues, and it cost me £700 roughly. A PC price to run the same games as flawlessly would be close to £1300 (almost double the coin). I used to be a PC gamer but once I purchased the Xbox 360, I loved console gaming. Also certain games are suited better to console.
My series s gets turned on like once a year to play Rockband 4. Luckily I'm not holding anyone back.
Whats with the 4 minute unskippable ads? Literally cant watch the video
2:28 i just bought a 3ds and modded it so i could play every game i couldnt as a broke kid. The perks is being able to laydown and game instead of sitting/standing
Built my pc last summer for $1200 it’d cost me over $2000 now for the exact same parts
I'll spend that money on my pc not a console there dreaming.
My main PC is a docked Xbox rog ally x at home. Game at the desk and the bed
