man i personally dont understand the mentality of worrying soooo much about the points when its meant to just simply reflect your skill, if you lose you lose. So just play it out in the room youre in i feel. Luckily you didnt really leave specifically cause "erm my points" so got to see you play out races against a competitive room and that was infinitely more entertaining than you trying to cheese out "easier" rooms for points.

I think you should start an overarching challenge where you try to get a lap four shock dodge on every track. (Routes would count towards the track at the end of them, of course.) This could be just a counter in your normal videos or something, but I think it could be very fun once you get to the last few tracks!
I think Rainbow Road would be a super hype one to get when you finally do.

Shortcat, you are the WORST item obtainer I know of, though I do know of you. It is remarkable, I swear nintendo could block you off from certain areas by just putting an item box in front of it. It's like you took a negative trait that gave you more points to put into your driving ability, which is maxed out by the way S+, but now you have a 25% chance to just get no items at every set of boxes. If there is another player within a mile of you you are guaranteed to miss an item box. If there ISN'T another player within a mile of you you somehow still have a chance of missing the box.
Did an item box hurt you in your childhood? Is there some unresolved trauma?

45:50 i played in the one before this one and got top 90 and top lakitu (somehow? no idea) i only played at like 2 am est and the rooms were barely gathering above 3 people, i got 2nd basically every race and the person who beat me i later found out got 2nd overall! so maybe grinding in small rooms where you have a skill advantage is the way, though it is probably not the most fun way to go about it

In these events, it appears the longer you hold first the more points you get. Running seems to reward more points. Even if you land in 5th or better at the end.
