2:06 For the non-technical people who are curious about the "Null Pointer Exception" message it's most likely an error/bug within the mod itself and isn't some cryptic gameplay-related mystery.
Though I'm not sure exactly what causes which part of the mod that causes that error. Just writing this comment because I just find it kinda funny the way he reacted to the message.

At 1:14:44 grian said that one makes soap using lye not ashes, but i don't think he realizes that lye is made by mixing wood ash with water in real life as wood ash contains K2O which becomes potassium hydroxide also known as lye when soaked in water
