The more I see and think of this trailer, the more I hate it. The Narnia books should be among the easiest books to adapt, but no, we can't have faithful adaptions around here.
So this is clearly just badly written fanfiction. Same character names and locations, but everything else is swapped out for something the writer wants inserted (THE MESSAGE, most likely) rather than what the original author explicitly stated or otherwise implied.
Digory is the character that binds particularly the two first two books together (in the chronological order). If they screw with him becoming the professor, The internal logic falls apart
It's not meant to be 1950s. It's meant to be 1900. Visually, they're two very different eras. You know, it's funny. I don't remember any era, especially the 1950s, being given a strange blue filter.
I'm just wondering why this film is set in the 1950's or after the second world war and in the lion the witch and the wardrobe is set in 1940 during the war? As just had a look and The magicians nephew was set in 1900
9:51 First off, Jadis outfit is all wrong and not at all how she is described in the book.
2nd, Jadis was limited in her abilities here in our world. She retained some of her superhuman strength, but she was unable to muster incantations to hex her opponents, the best she did here was droving a poor work horse into mad frenzy whispering something in his ear, and she didn't have her wand. If she had these things, she would have easily conqured our world instead of merely creating chaos in London.
But why read or abide by the established lore of the book…
Famke Janssen should’ve played the 7ft tall Queen Jadis in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!! She’s the only major actress who is stunningly beautiful, has exotic looks, very tall (6ft tall) and dark haired. She would’ve KILLED it!
Moderm music in old time piece movies is basically a draw for my interest and I will not be watching. Like even that Sinners vampire movie I was okay its mediocre then the hip hop music started and it was an instant 0/10 for me.

The trailer ruined the movie for me. I will not be watching tjis remake. What was Greta thinking?

"The Shadow that bred them can only mock, it cannot make: not real new things of its own."
They’re ruining Led Zeppelin by including them in this garbage.
"Stairway to Heaven", because Robert Plant was a Tolkien nerd, so perfect CS Lewis music?
Gary is right, Daniel Craig is letting his real self shine out…

What is this like the third remake?
This looks like garbage. Vomit ridden garbage. I hope it flops hard.
My favorite D Craig film is Logan Lucky
“There is no curse in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men for this treachery.”

People who still use the word slop are slop

So because no sound. The Aslan celestial than roaring everything in…didnt look bad there. Scale and everything super small. Just concept alone.
C.S Lewis estate has sold out. These people have no imagination, so they take liberties with someone else's. Pathetic.
More modern Hollywood garbage slop
Chronicles of the Guardians of The Narnia (Vol 1)
The truth is, we live in a beautiful world filled with beautiful locations, and they don't want you to remember that because they have no imagination.
Man, they even managed to make the rings look Like CGI.
I'm a hundred percent sure Jadis is going to be a misunderstood character who was wronged by a man and her being evil now is girl power
9:19 yuck 😬

Looks like an AI acid trip…
From 'the director of Barbie' is hardly an endorsement. Lewis would barf at this travesty.

I can't help but quote Lewis from his actual book to describe everyone involved in this latest slop project:
"Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed." – C.S. Lewis, The Magician's Nephew

layer cake was awesome indeed.
9:18 Is that suppose to be Charn? That is not at all how the world of Charn was described by Lewis.
Another film to skip
Can we like address that frankly I don't like looking at or hearing the kid actor in this who played piggy in Netflix's lord of the flies
female lions dont have manes
Stopp brutalizing all my favorit stories for fs sake! This looks awful apart from the first few seconds!
I am beyond angry. This is Righteous Indignation.
Looks like CGI slop. Boring, predictable, platitude driven, derivative bullshit.

That’s not Aslan, it’s Translan.
The Pile On, the Switch and the Glitter Ball. LMAO.
I didn't like The Hobbit trilogy.
But every other year or so, I watch a 4hr fan edit that is much akin to the book.
Moderm music in old time piece movies is basically a draw for my interest and I will not be watching. Like even that Sinners vampire movie I was okay its mediocre then the hip hop music started and it was an instant 0/10 for me.
And then a 'Smiths', quote!
Captain Darling was on fire!
If you are a fan of C.S. Lewis do not watch this movie because his Narnia isn't in this crap.
Nope
This looks like it's made exclusively for women aged 12-30 & then they'll wonder why it doesn't do well.
Though, they'll just lie once it's on streaming because they count the preview clip as a full viewing.
