In 2022, popular YouTuber TheftKing would find himself headfirst in drama and controversy.
After butting heads with Kane Carter, a popular FNAF fan game developer, his immature nature and behavior would slowly come to light, eventually boiling over in an epic meltdown on livestream.
In this video, we’ll cover the situation from start to finish.
Firstly, thank you guys for the support on the last video!
I asked everyone what FNAF controversy I should cover next, and the majority vote was TheftKing.
At least from what I could see!
Of course, let me know what I should cover next.
My next video won’t be in The Freddy Files, but I’m sure the one after will be.
Woah, big upload delay—like 20 days!
I was mainly working on this video the entire time, but I was busy, so it took a bit longer.
Had to wait on the thumbnail too, but it was well worth the wait.
I said this last video, but honestly, I’m still pretty new to editing, and I took a lot of the criticism, mainly about pacing, and tried to apply it. So let me know if you think I improved and what I can do better!
Oh, and thank you for 1,000 subscribers! It was a huge milestone, and I hope we can keep growing!
I also wanted to make a note that I don’t support or condone harassment, so please don’t send hate to anyone involved.

Special thanks to @KaneCarter .
I used his video for some of the research, and he had a lot of screenshots from his side.
I just found it to be a big help when making this video, so I recommend checking out his video on the topic.
Also, thank all of you for the support!

What FNAF controversy should I cover next?
Do we have a fnaf like game about dinos
Ngl I've been a Theft King fan for a long long time, because I never actually knew about a lot of this. I had mostly only knew his side of things (and mostly only knew about the recovering addict stuff).
Got reminded of this mf after explaining about the Faz-verse. Crazy days i'll tell you what.
That rick roll will always be stuck on my mind as one of the best ragebaits of the fnaf community and the internet.
this dude cried so hard and tried to threw any jabs at Kane to get a reaction. The good thing is Kane ignored him as he should've.
as for Theft… yeah I am not surprised he faded out of my memory after that drama
Also him making clickbait thumbnails that are just text on a black and white photo of fnaf characters and saying that he does those thumbnails well really made me laugh😭
theft king being upset phisnom blocked him is even funnier cause phisnoim blocks everyone
he blocked me because i asked "hows the development of fnaf plus going" when that was still a thing
I used to watch Theft King and other FNAF content years ago so once I started getting drama videos about him I got pretty confused as to what could have possibly happened (youtube was the only social media that i used at the time), although my interest in FNAF didn't last after that started happening so I didn't bother to watch anymore FNAF content (until this video lol).
I was expecting some big scandal that was jail-time worthy or something… I'm honestly now even more confused as to why he reacted that way.
This is a lesson to never blow things out of porportion (and to be careful when doing clickbait, I guess).
i wish you mentioned the extremely strange and cryptic tweets he posted at around this same time (or maybe for another controversy idr) that were nonsensical and edgy and trying to paint himself as a victim, and often used emojis to… tell a story?
it was very funny looking back on it
7:10 why does he sound like Pointcrow 😭😭😭😭
Obsessed with how Theft King, and only Theft King, treated this whole situation like a messy break up whereas basically everyone else acted like it was… y'know.
Community nonsense?
peak
A modern classic
Great vid
The craziest part was that he did all this in his 30’s
Someone who likes Pokémon here, I just had a thought, is it a hottake to say Theft King is the Verlisify of fnaf community?
Aren’t all of these people invoked children?
This whole situation made me lose respect for both Theft King and Kane.
Theft obviously blew things out of proportion.
But Kane didn’t help with anything, either with his trolling.
This whole situation is like The Telescope from Bojack Horseman. Bojack/Theft King, has to confront someone who has mixed feelings about them, they do so and things seem to go reasonably well, but something compels them to double down and try to “make things right” and when the situation doesn’t go the way they want, they end up undoing all of that previous good will, and exposing themselves as the one at fault
Clear cut info, great video
The irony of the whole situation was Theft initiated it himself, Kane’s original tweet was directed at Sheeprampage and people in the reply section of the post jokingly went “cough cough theft king”
Theft saw that and took it as “harassment” and started his whole meltdown 😂
3:07 i dont understand why kid networks think kids wont like a adult protagonist in a kid show.
Shows like spongebob and regular show are literal proof that kids like and can relate to adult main characters. Also having a adult protag can really stretch the apeal for these type of shows.
Adults can relate and kids can laugh at the funny jokes.
Game about a silly singing bear btw hor hor hor hor hor
TheftKing Is Stupid, Like… Hating Kane Carter For Some Meaningless Stuff When Him Showing A Realistic Corpse In All Of His Games AND Guilt-Tripping A Minor Into Calling Herself Something Innappropriate In One Of Those Games Is RIGHT THERE? Like, He Had ACTUAL Reasons To Hate Him And Instead Chose To Only Hate Him Over Nothing!
Honestly, the name of Theft King is accurate
Because he was somehow stealing people’s intelligence
I think my weirdest experience with theftking is the fact I kinda missed the whole cane carter debacle, so I kept watching him after the fact. But weirdly he kept starting beef with other random smaller creators after, to the point most of his content was "these people are attacking me!" rather then any actual fnaf stuff. I didn't even find out about this whole thing until after I unsubscribed, very weird to look back on honestly
I completely forgot about this guy.
Theft king is like 35 during this btw
