  1. The original Tomb Raider looks bad today, but damn, that music is still pretty awesome! I really hope it (the main theme music) makes it into the upcoming remake.

  2. Just yesterday I finished a 100% AC1 playthrough, all the flags, templars, all that shit, and my only complaint I have is the somewhat repetetive game loop. New area, pick pocket, eavesdrop, interrogate, some assassinations, rins and repeat. But other than that, I love the game. Told a pretty damn good story, and as the first game it is, really pulled interest to what comes next. I enjoyed the combat and mechanics. Really enjoyed the game.

The grind for all the flags and templars was also quite a slog, but bearable.

  3. Dragon Age had memorable characters and voice acting was awesome. The story was serviceable being a LotR orc invasion rip off. We didn't care it was clunky to play back then. The non linearity, branching narrative and all the the origins replayability in a non boring tactical package was what hooked us.

  4. Honestly the first AC game while outdated has much more quality than any other from the list.
The others are much more older…so its normal
Besides that i would prefer the first AC game to any modern Ac game from the last 10 years.

  5. He is so on the mark about the Early Tomb Raider games indecipherable environments. Everytime I hit a Wall in those early Tomb Raider games was because I couldn't figure out where to go.

  6. As someone who played the first Hitman when it was released, I have to strongly disagree. The graphics didn't look rough by any means back then. On the contrary, the people looked quite natural, compared to the other block heads at that time. Just take a look at games like Tekken, Counter-Strike or Thief that were released in the same year. The textures were also very sharp back then.

  7. if anyone want to play Wolfenstein 3D, you should play the version that's built into the Wolfenstein: New Order, at least you're getting something out of it.

  8. Completely disagree on AC1. Its lackluster/repetitive gameplay loop is a design flaw, not a product of its time or anything to do with its age. Mechanically the game still feels amazing to play, the parkour is arguably as good as if not better than a lot of the sequels, and atmosphere and visual design are timeless.

  9. Got to sneak in some GTA glazing huh? Basically all he said was " You should be happy with the bare minimum because I had less." Grow up dude what an absolutely immature mindset.

  10. Same people who seemingly cannot get over Days Gone not getting a sequel( it did not click with the masses) are the same ones who loss their sh— over a historically accurate Black samurai. Another reason why this sh— is going to crash.
Also, weve got a Rockstar appoigist here

  11. Falcon ‼️ I've never disagreed with you so hard. Asassin's Creed I is the best of the lot. It's a pure experience, story solid, and the only one where you actually feel like you MUST be discreet in your actions – permanently trying to blend in. You have to be mindful of everything you're doing if you want to do it right and maste the learning curve, not like follow ups where it's piss easy and npcs don't bat an eye lid to you leaping off buildings and doing somersaults. Acre is the perfect example of grey done right. Yeah it's a bit repetetive but surely that's what it would actually be like to be an assassin in the crusades – turning up and working the city methodically. Plus the assassinations themselves are all unique. The music was at its best, with actual city lockdowns being reflected in the intense Kyd score. Come on man! ACII felt like an improvement at the time but was painful to replay in 2025. AC1 was an intense thriller that had me at the edge of my seat. It's all opinions obviously, and there's no hate here, but my god man! The graphics hold up so well compared to the overtly cartoony sequels as well. I genuinely can't understand the hate AC 1 gets. It's
simple, understated and a boss story well told. And before anybody says 'nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia' – I'm basing these arguments off playing the Desmond games up until Revelations last year. It's the only one where you actually feel like a blade in the crowd. Real immersion over fake agency: "Oh look I can change the colour of my
    robes in the second one!"

Shoot me dead on this hill, I'm happy to be here 😂

  12. yeah, but they're not really forever games, right? they were meant for whoever was playing at the time. the same people remember them fondly now and play them from time to time. there are new players who enjoy them too but that's a rare occurrence. the games weren't meant to last for decades against fresh competition. so the comparison is kinda pointless. I guess that's why people got mad. and the games kinda aged like dry apples. some people love them, some people don't, most people don't think about them, but when you crave them, yeah…

  13. I actually visited the offices where they made Ultima 7 when I was in 5th grade, in Austin Texas. Google it. I didn't google it, and I know it checks out.

If I'm wrong, its the name of the game, like I went to that studio and they were developing an Ultima game. We kids did not give a FUCK. It was very boring honestly. The most exciting part was dude starting up his pc and having some political thing and beavis when it started up. For real. That was the highlight.

The gameplay looked like what Falcon showed, so you can imagine us kids being like "Where's Mario?"
