Good news or bad news?
I want free dlc
If I bought the secret species pack with pretty much no issue, it would be straight up hypocritical for me to complain about two of the species to be returning content when THREE QUARTERS of that dlc was recycled 💔🥀
I couldn't care less if I tried, The other things like the decoration's and the new species make up for it when it comes to me at least.
My opinion is not law obviously, anyone can feel any way about this DLC and it's perfectly valid.
Seeing how they’re doing the packs for jwe3 makes me worry about future packs for this game and even planet zoo 2 😔
Now, I believe that this will be extremely popular with map builders and people who love making blue prints, but for kids who play after school, casual players, or just people who enjoy dinosaurs or the JW series, like me, I've been playing since JWE1 when I was a teenager and have loved these games for years, and I know how much work went into the new decor, and I'm so excited for the holograms, but I barely bough the croc pack because my fav dino was in there, so I bought it and have been playing it with a smile for weeks, like I will be with this pack, but its kinda hard to say anything else, without the "ace" in frontiers sleeve we lowk got cucked here

Idk some of the new content is free like elevated walkways, and if it was DLC last time I don’t understand why it can’t be DLC again. They are already giving us a free dino every month, we gotta pay for somethings and I think Frontier is way more generous than most devs. Probably also more generous than Universal would like I’m assuming.

I hope they'll make a dekuxe dlc bundle or something similar in the future. I don't want to pay for more DLCs, I bought the game when it launched and to think that they'll probably release a DLC bundle version plus the base game for a cheaper price than base game(release) + every dlc as they release, make me wish I waited for that version. They should at least put out a discount version that includes all DLC's 🙁

Everything aside I do like what Frontier is doing with this game as far as monthly releases, it has kept my interest in the game steady.

anyone letting these resold old species slide is actively harming gaming as a whole, the more people accept paying for something they already had/shouldn't be paying for the more the industry will push it
The controvery is def overblown, also I'm not too mad at sinosauropteryx. What pisses me off is what else they decided to give back Tarbosaurus has one of the UGLIEST designs in the previous game imo. Instead of doing a random species that doesn't relate to the theme, carchar (the redesign itself wan't bad tho), they could've just invest into a tarbosaurus redesign, which would me much more fitting
And gigantoraptor was right there!!! Cmon now! Also gobiasaurus is also like the unexciting species they could've possible be done, but eh oh well, the dlc aint bad.
They should do a thing where if you have the relevant previous expansion packs in your Steam library, they should offer an exclusive discount. Many other devs do it, so it can't be that hard to detect and implement. Just my two cents
im VERY happy abt sino being back, its one of my favorite species in all of jwe2, it was the reason i bought the feathered species pack (only pack i ever bought) but im still dissapointed they didnt use the 2 extra slots with yi qi or shantungosaurus.

One thing I haven't seen many people talk about is the fact that, since we now know the paid species from Evolution 2 are (mostly) being re-released in pairs within bigger themed DLCs in Evolution 3, we can basically use the ones that haven't been re-released yet to predict future DLCs.
Honestly, Frontier is pissing me off so much with Evolution 3 that I don't even want to support them by getting Planet Zoo 2
