I've always appreciate the triple-meaning of the game's title.
1. Being an FPS, you could see it as a reference to the phrase "it's killing time!"
2. The plot's antagonist had used Egyptian god magic to freeze the island in time, so you could see their motivation as being them killing time
3. Considering the amount of time it takes to finish the game and how mindless it can be at times, you can consider the game a good way of killing time
Also the main theme itself (not the credits theme that's also amazing) gives me some megaman vibes at times

The robots can carve Civvie up like a Christmas goose as much as they like (in fact, I even recommend it).

So whenever I see this. I can't help, but think of a certain Doom 2 mod called Slaughterhouse 3D. It's a total conversion that adapts the 3 Slaughterhouse games into 3 episodes. It's outstanding. Adapting bosses, textures, locations and so on. You might enjoy it in your own time Civvie.
