The Final Dune Trailer Ever… Reaction and emotions.

Enjoy the last Dune trailer ever with me. This Dune: Part Three trailer reaction comes from a deep place of love and admiration for the films. I’m not sure if we will ever get something like this again.

This was a vulnerable reaction, I hope you resonate with my experience and share your own in the comments.

  1. I didn't expect to see so much focus on how paul is invincible until his power is countered. I think that's great, and I wonder if we'll get elements of god emperor in this. For me, the end of Dune is the god emperor breeding humanity to counter prescience; using his power to make people immune to his power. Power corrupts, and with great power comes great responsibility, and all that. I know that part of Paul's story in the books is that he fails to go all the way, but since no more movies are coming, maybe this one ends with a message about becoming immune to power. Keep up the great videos! 👏

  2. You’re perfect, and you’re not alone on the emotions front. Scytale’s line “You’re running out of time, Paul. All we ask is you hand power to us.” Has calmed me down because it’s straight out of the book, and gives me hope that Chani will die in childbirth. (Which is so important to the plot because it involves Paul’s blindness to Leto II’s existence in utero which seems required for the story.) It feels like there’s so much misdirection going on in these trailers. The fact that there’s still a clip of Paul facing Chani on a moving sandworm standing up a if they’re on a stationary floor and velocity, wind, gravity, and physics don’t matter, (which in my mind screams VISION, because if it’s real, it feels ridiculous. I want to stay on proverbial bus of this amazing version of the story I love so much, but these trailers, while gorgeous and amazing, are trying desperately to kick me off, and my fingernails are starting to bleed with my desperation to hang on. 🫣

  3. I looks so good. I’m just such a die hard Greg Fraiser fan that I think I’ll miss his cinematography. This looks amazing in its own right but there’s a visual language in Dune I might miss.

  4. Seeing the trailer first time was just… Epic. We came back from a restaurant to check the trailer with my fiancee. It just left us speechless. The emotional roller coaster is for real.. They just keep getting more epic with these trailers. Just can't wait till the 15th of December. We're also getting married in 5th of December, so 10 days before the film. We have rings that are Dune themed and probably gonna get some Hans Zimmer Dune music for the wedding 🤣

  5. You’re enthusiasm is genuinely infectious. I feel a similar way. I got into dune when part 1 was announced, I had been in love with denis movies since arrival, and his sense of scale and weird space things made me very excited for his adaptation.

I then listened to the dune audiobook (big recommend, those voice actors are sick) once I finished that I bought the first book in paperback and tore through it. Dune part 1 was the most I’ve been hyped for a movie in a long time and it became my most watched movie the moment I got the blu ray.

My hype has quieted over the years but that’s only because I know I’m my bones every denis dune movie is gonna be a banger. This year I’ve had other big releases on my mind but watching you made me realize how it’s gonna suck to not be able to look forward to more dune. I had the same experience but for my 30s instead of my 20s and I just want to say thank you for helping me feel the hype again.

Bless the maker and his water

  6. After this movie all my days will be spent praying for a movie for each of the other books. (And it's ok if in Children of Dune the kids are young adults… Just give me a man in a big worm suit in GEOD)

  7. Absolutely is Paul going to be the bad guy and it’s a tail warning against him. I just hope that this movie emphasizes how MORE would have died if he did not go on his ji-had. It’s touched on in both the second movie and the books. Commit evil to prevent even greater evil.

  8. Traitorous Chani, and grown up twins, all conspiring against Paul? So Villenueve is just writing his own version of Children Of Dune then, because no one could continue this series without diverging WILDLY from the novels. I'm pretty torn about it, honestly.

  9. Does anyone else think Channi hugging Paul at the end of the trailer instead of fighting was such a spoiler? I don't understand why they'd show us that. It kind of eliminates excitement for that scene as well, since we know it ends peacefully. Seems like something they should've kept until its release. (Coming from someone who didn't read the Messiah book)

  10. Glad to see there is someone else out there that loves these films as much as I do. I'm honestly kind of sad that this is it at least for Denis Villeneuve. Crazy to think its only taken five years for Denis to create possibly the greatest trilogy of all time.

  11. Dune Part 1 starts with Chani asking "who will our next oppressors be?" after the emperor calls back Harkonnens from Arrakis. Muad'Dib gave her the answer in Part 3: "after years of combat, I have become the oppressor".
