As a Dredgen X13 Gambit never stopped being fun. Loved Ripping and tearing though PvE bots then playing some PvP. It's not for everyone I guess but there is a little of something for everyone in there if you care to understand how it works.
Let me tell you why this sucks and it's going to fail. They think we want old stuff back, when we just never wanted it to leave in the first place. This isn't new content for most of us.

Forsaken was amazing and we've never had anything like it since. Start going back to that model. We don't need back to back seasons being drip fed story. What made forsaken so awesome was that one you finished the story and raid, there were plenty of secrets to discover, pvp was great with comp loot to chase, gambit was new and at the time actually pretty fun, and strikes were great. Having good strikes and pvp to farm in-between the story cycle was great and I really miss it. If they could go back to that with strike specific loot like we had in D1, I'd be happy. And yes, we need all the crucible maps back. If we are playing crucible on a loop, we need all the maps we can get. Put some only in certain game modes if need be, but give us back what we paid for.
I think people using AI decomps will make this possible even if Bungo says it ain’t

An FFXIV approach to expansions may benefit Destiny:
2 year Expac rotation.
Base launch + 5(+1/2) scheduled patches, with the 3rd patch wrapping the current expac and the 4th previewing the new content.
New (Strikes) each patch, with a new Raid (realistically) at the 3rd and 5th Patches
Holiday events for filler, Special collabs being special
1 "gimmick" busy-work event (bozja/eureka as examples) per expac.
The only thing I'm missing this fall/winter season is the Halloween event & the Dawning. I love Halloween & Festival of The Lost was fun BUT they could have did better than offering the same guns just reskinned. I loved killing enemies for cookie ingredients & baking cookies for the NPC's it just gave purpose to play. And I LOVE me sum Gambit matches. My Titan & Warlock @ light lvl 1550 was soooo bad ass!! I think the new armor & wep sys suks a** & it limits players potential to really get their character above the potential that it can possess. Don't get me wrong getting all the vaulted stuff back will be great for the players that never got to play them, for me? I've played them 4x's over & not interested. Getting vaulted planets back is great as long as Bungie doesn't fuk em up. Will Sloane,Asir Mir, Ana Bray return with the planets??????
i play darktide with a shader mod to remove the haze that is everywhere. Idk why they think adding haze to everything makes it look better or more real. It just feels like it hurts my eyes to look at
I feel like the infinite forest should be what duviri paradox is to warframe, you get a roguelite mode with random buffs you can get along with being forced to try out different armor and weapons

Cayde is not actually dead for real.
Cayde has decided to be dead for the time being, as the pain he has experienced and endured through is more than he is/was willing to continue enduring through. The traveler has revived him with light and all during The Final Shape questline and would easily be able to re-revive him.
It is likely however, that this will not happen, but, if we are reliving things as they were, it would be perfectly normal to have the world as it IS but have either a telemetry of Cayde or some such as a stand-in

I finally made the decision to delete all my armor and weapon 1.0s and 2.0s with a handful of exceptions so I have a ton of vault space now.
360 and ps3 should have been left behind a long while ago.
18:10 Nahh, c’mon, broski. You CAN NOT tell me that, when you walked into that big ass space and found 3’s MASSIVE corpse, you didn’t look around in that place and think, “God Dawg! This is badass!”
I spent at least 30 minutes just jumpin around, checkin that place out and lookin around at the skybox (AKA 3’s corpse).
As far as whether Bungie will make armor and weapons Tier 5 or not for unvaulted content seems like a nobrainer. They had already shown what they could do with old armor and weapons in the Monument of Triumph. The die has been cast. I think the only thing that would make that painstakingly difficult is to come up with more unique origin traits and armor set bonuses that are worthwhile and which weapon traits to use.

I've got like 400 slots available. more if i clear up some of my duplicate exotics and old armors.
